I put a new vintage air system on my 1970 Mustang and needed to get the hoses crimped after I cut them to the correct length. I tried to find someone locally to do it, but they either didn't know how, didn't want to know how, or were afraid to do it for me. After some research I decided to pick this product up and was glad I did. For the price I would have paid to have someone else crimp my hoses I now have a tool I can use in the future and it was much more convenient to do it myself on my schedule. The system is working perfectly in the car and I have had no leaks. The tool is easy to use and seems very durable. I am sure I will find more uses for it in the future.

I bought this to install an RB AC hose kit. It is a little tricky to know when a crimp is deep enough. When doing #6 RB you can close the dies down to about .060". On #10 RB it is very hard to achieve .120, but the crimps do look good. Seems like the perfect tool for a DIYer, or an occasional user.

Crimps well and seems to be pretty sturdy. Me and my son have used it on some custom AC setups in 2 LS swaps. All the dies are clearly marked and easy to change. Crimping tool is a bit big for tight spaces under the hood but a little preplanning can solve that.

Great product

I love this tool, a must for anyone working on AC lines. Changed my RV orifice system to an tcv (expansion valve) after the line blew at the condenser. It meant running a hose with a 90 degree fitting thru 2 cross members. It would've been impossible, I run the hose and crimped it in place! Crimped all the hoses in the picture too. Instructions are not much help, dies are all marked. RSB is for reduced barrier, # 6 works on both barriers. It worked flawlessly on 6 and 10 barrier hose for me, would be good for power steering hoses too.

I was finishing up a Vintage Air install on a 69' Camaro and came to the part of needing the fittings crimped. Low and behold, no one in my area could crimp the sizes I needed and I really didn't want to ship them out, so I thought I would give this a try.I used this on the high and low side with zero leaks. System held vacuum perfectly and charged without issue. Definitely worth the convenience and ability to repair lines if need be at a heck of a great price!

This crimping tool makes nearly factory style crimps. Very secure and uniform crimps. For what others were going to charge to make these six crimps, I was able to buy the tool. Already have others into custom cars wanting to borrow it for their projects. Highly recommend this tool.

I restore muscle cars...and do a lot of vintage air kits and was always having to get someone to clamp my hoses...got this kit couldn’t be any more happy with a tool...saves a lot of time and money!!!! Very easy to use and comes with everything u need to get job done!!!!! If you do a/c work u need this tool in your box!!!!
