Spectacular value
I wanted a fretless to get certain sounds unavailable on a fretted bass and this does it in spades. I have only played bass for about a year but guitar for over 40 years and have owned and played quite a few over that time. This bass has spotless fit and finish. The wood is a gorgeous oiled satin throughout and plays way over it's price point. I changed the round wounds to EB cobalt flats and wow! Those Nathan East and Pastor's sounds come through perfectly. The fingerboard edge was a tad sharp so when I took off the factory strings I ran a 0000 steel wool pad to round it a little. Hardware is solid and high mass and active switched electronics are well soldered. If battery runs out can still play passively. Pups are sealed M type ceramics and may change out down the road if I want that MM sound. Get these before they run out and price goes up! Gig bag is a bonus. Would buy another Tario no doubt!

Unbelievably Flawless
I'm totally blown away by the quality of this bass, especially for the cost! First of all, the pics in the listing don't do it justice. This is a beautiful instrument. I've been over it completely and can't find one single flaw in the workmanship. All of the wood is gorgeous. I've never experienced Belcat pickups before, though I've considered them for other projects. I'm very happy with them and will definitely be buying more. I didn't expect it to be set up out of the box, but it's extremely close. A simple tune and off I went. The action was low and very easy to play and the strings do not seem like the usual junk that most basses ship with. My electronics are a slight different from the listing, which says it has two volume knobs. Mine only has one volume, one pickup blender and 3 EQ knobs. I'm not exactly sure what the selector switch does. The only thing I will change is the strings. Not because they are junk, but because I prefer flatwound. The gig bag that comes with it is an economy bag with a little padding, but this bass is worthy of a nice hard case. Do yourself a favor and don't hesitate to buy one. I couldn't be happier.

It’s very good!… Besides one thing
This was my first fretless but the issue is that I can’t play the first fret at all and I’m very limited when it comes to my second fret! It just has this weird buzz/hum that goes with it whenever I try to play the first and second frets (on any strings). Otherwise, I’d say I’m happy with this bass

Great for the price
Surprisingly good for the price. Had to get the nut slots filed down as they were way too high for a fretless bass. And the pre-amp slid around in the control compartment and resulted in noise (probably from pushing on a wire or two) until I opened it up and moved it. But once those issues were dealt with it plays very well, have received several compliments on the looks and sound.Would recommend a case or better gig bag though, the supplied bag is very thin. And the factory strings are fairly abrasive, I put on flatwounds when I had the nut worked on. Nothing surprising for a bass at this price level though.

Amazing Quality!
The media could not be loaded. I just couldn't pass up this deal when I saw it! I'm a guitar player that is now very interested in playing bass. I've never been interested in 5 string bass's but I have always been interested in fretless bass's. Now I got both. The quality of this Tario Bass is just amazing! The body and neck are very smooth and well made. The bridge is better than the average bridge you will see on guitars at this price! I love the inlays on the fret board. The tuners are nice, (20 to 1 ratio). They seem to hold up just fine. The volume and tone pots feel very nice. I let it acclimate for a few days and adjusted the neck and bridge slightly, usual stuff. I got it playing just how I like it! Just need to get used to no frets. Great deal!!! I highly recommend.

Won’t be ready out the box, will need setup. Came with round wound, would suggest flat wound.
Buy it, you will need to adjust the action but this thing is incredible for the price and beautiful too.

I like the bass overall
I'm a bit torn for this review. First, when I received it, I found it consistent with other reviews. It will need a proper setup including filing the nut grooves. The electronics seem fine. My only gripe is quality control letting something slip by. The first inlay has a bump in it and causes the A string to not articulate a proper B note. This will take time for me to sand down. I'm not someone who does this type of work on their instruments, but I don't want to have to spend another $60-$100 after setup

Decent Bass
The bass is full and decent enough. Have to fix the action or the tross, though
