I own three pair of sneakers, and three sets of lock laces. After recovering from hip surgery, I can finally get my shoelaces tied by myself again, but why would I? Lock Laces never come undone. No stopping in the middle of a walk to retie, and I can easily slip my shoes on and off several times a day.There are two things to be aware of when installing them the first time. You have to be careful not to cut the laces too short, and be sure to get the tips of the laces all the way into the clip at the end. They're a little tricky to reopen to redo it.Worth the money. I'd never use regular laces again.

I have difficulty keeping shoelaces tied but I prefer the fit of tie shoes for casual wear. These are easy to install, maintain the fit I prefer, and look great. I converted all my tie shoes to these and bought some for my grandson who was constantly walking around with untied sneakers!

As time does not pass in vain, in recent years I've found myself reaching for my gym shoes instead of ANY other shoes because I am paying for the "does not pass in vain" part! AND 60+ of the "time" part! Scary:)Yes after many years of weekly AND weekend warrior, playing indoor/outdoor soccer, basketball and 16" softball... yeah the one that breaks your fingers and... of course, NO gloves!!!! As well as having a full time J, O, B!So now my aches HURT!! And I don't even want to deal with my shoelaces, plus I wanted to give my ol'gym shoes a "new look" and I am very pleased with the results per the pics and current babbling!All were trimmed to fit and are just snug enough to walk comfortably without any slippage but if need be it can be tied more but it will still be flexible enough not to be uncomfortable since they're elastic.In my view they match perfect and a few more options available, certainly, one color will work!The babbling will be revised in the future if they fail before the ol'gym shoes meanwhile this babbling Ol'Timer sez YES to LOCK LACES!!!

Been using this style of laces for several years now. First thing I do when I buy new shoes is swap out the laces. Because these laces are elastic, they can hold shoes on tight but also allow shoes to expand to accommodate swollen feet, which is an important consideration when running ultras. I've never had to swap out shoes to a larger size mid race because I have these laces. It's also nice not having to worry about laces coming untied during a run. The one time I didn't swap out my laces immediately my shoes became untied during a cold, snowy run, and my numb fingers couldn't re-tie my laces. Never again will I run with normal laces.
