The media could not be loaded. Nice upgrade, works well. Easy to install, actual install, cleaning too longer. Directions a little backwards, the remote needs to be synced first to make it talk to the receiver. Easy to do takes a couple seconds. I used my previous logs that were a little bigger, the ones provided looked fine, a little lighter The remote doesn’t control the flame level, which is fine. It has a gas pilot, the four AA batteries wouldn’t be enough to power an electric igniter.

I like the remote. However you still gotta get in there turn on gas, light pilot. Then you can sit down turn on fire. Terrible fumes. Not the easy of use I hoped for. Also no instuctions included.

This unit was very easy to assemble and install as a replacement for the old unit. All I really needed to do was cut the old gas line (copper tube), flange and add the fitting to the old tube, and thread it on (don't forget to use yellow Teflon tape, not white). Lighting the pilot was easy, as was adjusting the flame. Although the manual is a bit weak, the video really helped; else I would not have adjusted the flame correctly. The remote works well, and was very easy to pair with the unit. My total install time was about 1 1/2 hours. And I'm not a plumber.Lastly, it really looks great.

There are no log placement instructions or pictures with this. Its like a puzzle and the only picture you have is the one on the Amazon listing. The flame is very tall so make sure your hearth box can handle the flames higher than normal. The instructions do tell you how to put the batteries in and how to connect the remote receiver but not how to place the logs to achieve a reasonable flame and glow.

My brothers had no problems replacing our old insert with this one. The remote works well and the thermostat works as expected. My 83 year old mom has no problem working this unit.

I was looking for realistic logs and fire to replace what was there when I bought this house. This fireplace was converted from real to gas log. It however didn’t have remote start so I really wanted as realistic logs and fire for a reasonable price. This product is what I was looking for by all my criteria. Thank you !

While I agree with the other comments that the instructions could be a lot better, if you hire a “gas plumber” to assist you with the installation (as I did, worth every penny of his service because he knew how to connect the unit even without good instructions) the process of getting these fire logs to work will be much easier than if you try on your own. After installation, thus far I am amazed how well the remote temperature control works: gone are the days of having to manually turn the gas logs on when it was too cold or turning them off when it got to hot. Just pair the remote with the fire logs “command box” and then set your desired temperature.
