Absolutely Worthless
This was a miserable experience. I received this as a gift, and I wish I had never encountered the product.Connecting the camera transmitter via WiFi is all but impossible. The camera's "WiFi ready" indicator rarely actually illuminates, and when it does, it waits only seconds for a mobile device to connect to it before it disables the WiFi. I had an incredibly frustrating time attempting to catch the WiFi signal while it was still on. Once actually connected, one still has only seconds to launch and connect the smartphone app before the WiFi again disconnects.Deciding to forgo the difficult-to-connect video for my first cautious flight test, I tried several low-altitude hover-and-land maneuvers. Unlike higher-end drones, this product does not assist the user in stabilizing the craft - it is incumbent upon the user to cautiously and gently fly the vehicle. The experience is not unlike flying any conventional radio-controlled craft. It takes practice and skill to control the craft.Alas, after perhaps six or seven 4-5 foot altitude hovers and landings of various rates - and failed attempts to trim the remote control to any kind of hands-off stable flight - the horizontal element of one of the two landing gear snapped off on a rather soft landing on grass(!), while actually under additional thrust to feather the landing. Perhaps the plastic T-shaped landing strut had fatigued in the previous six landings (none of which I count as "hard," and few first-time fliers could have done better), but that was the final straw. I don't think I'll be wasting any more time in this item. I'm just glad I didn't pay for it (I'd be returning it if I had).If I could give this less than one star, I would.
