Nice power metre

This device is great. I got this for use in my optics lab for fiber coupling free space lasers into a fiber. It combines the visible laser source and power meter into one device. While slightly annoying to switch the fiber between the two, having to carry one device only is convenient.The power meter is not very well calibrated (measured to be ~30% off from a calibrated ThorLabs meter), and only goes up to something like 3mW. However, it has very nice low light sensitivity and can start working down to 2-3 nW. I've used this at 460 nm, 850 nm and 1450 nm and it will give you a relative reading at all three wavelengths.Overall, a very good device for helping with fiber coupling. Buying another one today.

I don’t understand why it’s not just working. Do I have the wrong connector? I’m using the default and I’m working with sc. I need readings on 1490 and 1550. I check for signal and I’m getting -4db across 1390-1550 when I should be getting -4 on my 1490 and -16 on my 1550. Dunno what I’m doing wrong since this thing doesn’t have much of an instruction manual. Just gunna return since either I can’t figure it out,as simple as it seems, or it’s defective.

It's a very simple product. The directions are surprisingly decent. I was expecting very bad English directions. The display is bright and clear. The quality of the casing is fairly rugged. I ran some fiber tests with it and I had no issues.The one thing that I wish it did have is adapters for the light emitting port. The adapter it comes with is only meant for the measuring detection port. No biggie.

The VFL function works fine my problem with this device is the instructions are lacking a great deal of information.It sorta tells you how to zero it but the buttons are not there that it says to use.Contacted uxcell and they said to contact amazon to return it.Not very helpful

This power meter is great for small works that need a simple power measurement. It's easy to use, and has a lot of wavelength to work with. The screen light is good, but has poor view angles.
