It's a beautiful book full of beautiful pictures.

This used book from a Connecticut public library was in excellent condition. It provides excellent background reading in preparation for a tourist "safari" trip my wife and I are doing in February, 2015, including a Mountain Gorilla extension in Rwanda. Despite the imposing side ("coffee table" type book), it is quick readings. Lots of side-column profiles of key individuals related to mtn gorilla conservation. Lots of full color photos of individually identified gorillas.

Having visited the Mountain Gorillas on 3 occasions I found the book to be not only a great read with beautiful pictures BUT FACTUAL.Hope this helps someoneRegardsGlennAustralia

Used information in the book to help with a public presentation about our trip to see the Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda. We gained a lot of insight into the past work with these gorillas from this book.
