Treadmill and warrant a good deal!
Purchased a 3-yr warranty. Hopefully will never need it but peace of mind if I do. Once a year tune up is worth it.Positives:- Great choice for a fast and competitive runner. Treadmill is easily able to handle 10 mph 45 minute runs/6 min. Miles 4x a week.- Cushioning is good yet firm; easy on knees.Negatives:- The software (running programs) need better organizing. It's very diffuicult to find and sort through types of workouts; very time consuming.- One of two fans on treadmill came broken, however, customer service quickly sent out replacement parts.

Reliable Equipment
I have not had to use this product because my treadmill has run perfectly every time I use it. Since the COVID19 has kept me at home I use the treadmill approximately five days a week. I have moved the treadmill to different locations to accommodate a painter, etc. and it still operates as expected. I do like having the maintenance plan because should anything go wrong, I would have difficulty finding a repair person. This plan gives me peace of mind in knowing that a trained professional could fix my machine.

Be careful of the bait and switch
Purchased a STAND ALONE 3-yr service plan on Amazon approximately 8 months after purchasing my Nordictrack Commercial 1750. Per the Amazon listing for the service plan "the [plan] begins at the date of purchase and provides coverage for term length chosen." Notably, it does not say from "date of purchase OF THE MACHINE".When I called to have a service technician come out, the customer service representative said my plan expired because the term of the agreement is "from the date of purchase machine" and that the service plan only applies to new machines. I pointed out that this is not what the advertisement says and he pointed me to the Extended Service Plan documents that I received AFTER I ALREADY ENTERED INTO THE CONTRACT.Given the contradicting language between the advertisement and the contract, I requested to speak to a manager. The customer service representative refused to transfer me to a manager and, instead, gave me a PO Box that I could reach out to. This is clear fraud in the inducement. No where on the advertisement does it say that the service plan is from the date of purchase of the machine. To the contrary, the ad clearly suggests that is effective from the date of purchase of the plan. If they intended it to run from the date of purchase of the machine they could have easily made that clear. Instead, they chose to mislead customers.I've purchased multiple Nordictrack machines and service plans from UTS in the past. Needless to say I won't be purchasing from them (or Nordictrack) again in the future.

A NordicTrack Maintenance Plan is a vital part of any NordicTrack Purchase
Similarly to purchasing a maintenance/extended warranty plan when buying an appliance or automobile, a maintenance/extended warranty for a NordicTrack is just as crucial. We faithfully purchased NordicTrack's maintenance plan and this year after having our NordicTrack for several years, the extended warranty proved to be vital. The console on the treadmill began to act erratically at times. We called the number listed on the contract at Universal Technical Services (UTS) and the service was exceptional. Parts were ordered and the day the parts arrived at our home, we received a call from a service technician at NV Corporation wanting to set up an appointment to do the repair. When he arrived, it was determined that the entire console needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, that console was no longer available. Universal Technical Services could not have been more helpful. There was no question at all--we had the extended warranty--we were getting the full price of what we originally paid for our NordicTrack towards a new one. Since we had our original one for many years, we asked what was now popular and the most comparable to what we had. UTS took all the time necessary to review the different models and to find the one that would meet our needs and satisfaction. UTS was truly a pleasure to work with on the NordicTrack Maintenance Plan. There was no hesitation, no prorating the cost of the treadmill and no reading the fine print on the warranty. We bought the warranty and this company lived up to the terms. This is one of the best warranty companies we ever dealt with.

Peace of Mind for a Big Investment
Before you purchase, verify with Nordictrack that they have a technician that services your area to make sure the maintenance aspects are worth your money. Customer service was very responsive when I asked.I'm very happy that I added the warranty to my Commercial 1750 treadmill that I bought a few months ago. I originally didn't want to spend even more on the treadmill, but realized that I spend a lot of time on it and want it to last as long as I can. The best part for me is the annual maintenance to make sure it's running correctly and fix/replace parts before they actually fail. While "expensive" when added to what I paid for the treadmill, it is definitely worth the peace of mind for the next several years. I did not enjoy the two months without a treadmill the last time mine failed and I wasn't prepared to research and buy a new one.I'm only giving this 4-stars right now because it wasn't easy to attach the warranty to my already registered equipment. It was not hard, but I had to contact customer service and request it get added. It did get added, but I never received confirmation that it was. I just chose to check my Nordictrack account and saw the warranty had been applied. One other piece that I missed, and was disappointed with is that the maintenance and warranty doesn't start either when I purchased it nor after the baseline manufacturer's warranty ended. It starts at the date of purchase, which caused me to "lose" those months. Something to be aware of when you purchase the plan.Hopefully I can raise this to 5-stars after I get it tuned up the first time.
