If you want to drill clean holes into plastic without the risk of cracks, look no further. I've used this bit to drill many holes into both thick and thin plastic. Holes come out clean, but be sure to pick up a deburring tool to smooth out the edges of the holes even more.

Used it to drill holes into 3/16" acrylic sheets. 1" in from the corners. Took my time and let the drill do all the work and came out clean. Creates a high pitch sound when it is drilling (drill against the acrylic), but it's short term.

The bit works well on styrene and polycarbonite but drill speed is critical.

I used this for drilling mounting holes in my boat windshield without cracking it.

I compared a standard HS drill bit (L) with a 2 step counterbore (C) and the Craftics bit (R). I drilled multiple holes on a well supported piece of polycarbonate twinwall backed with a piece of wood to prevent bowing.The standard and the Craftics left terrible shards of twisted polycarbonate and ragged edges. The counterbore bit (from a Kreg microjig) went straight through and left cleaner holes than the other two. The Craftics bit was the worst and did not leave a straight hole. It maybe best for solid plastics, but for multiwall polycarbonate, I do not recommend this bit.
