Love it.
I use this daily and it hasn't died on me yet, so I'd say it's decently durable. I can't speak to its long term durability as I haven't dropped it yet, but I don't plan to either. It's extremely portable, small, and remarkably quiet. You can definitely hear it, it is not silent, but the overall noise level is low. It automatically shuts off if it tips over so the safety features work. It heats up my little room to the point where it can feel like a sauna sometimes, but the regular fan, no heat setting cools me down on a hot day very well. Overall, it is functional and a great value for money. I am glad I bought this and I would buy it again in a heartbeat. For a friend, of course, because I don't see this dying on me any time soon.

Very effective at its intended purpose.
This was my first foray into anything produced by Vornado and my first impression after the first couple hours of use was no less than pleasing.Firstly it’s a personal heater, let’s clear that up. If you’re looking for a unit with more heating power, consider Vornado’s complete line or “whole room heaters” using vortex or V-Flow technology. The units intended purpose is to heat the air around you and keep you comfortable in say like an office cubicle or general workspace where you would be mostly stationary. With Vornado being considered a more premium brand this is a pretty good entry level product to familiarize yourself with their vortex air circulation. The unit did a great job at fighting the chill that usually surrounds me when I’m at work in my desk and I was pleasantly surprised with how cozy and comfortable I felt during the first couple hours of use.Let’s talk noise.....you can definitely hear it running but I’m my opinion it’s a fairly pleasant sound and there is no speed control, just one. It definitely makes some white noise. Some may find this unit fairly noisy compared to Vornado’s larger more powerful line of heaters. Place the heat selector in the middle position and it works as a fan. Air flow is good and gentle and provides a soft yet pleasant current of air. I was okay with less airflow because my desk fan was just too strong at times.Let’s talk power...you get three options: Fan only, low heat, and high heat. Low draws 375 watts and high draws 750 watts. (750 is a low setting on the more premium models where 1500 watts is the max output.) 375 just feels a little warm which I tried for a few minutes and switched to the 750 option which I love better. Not too hot and not too cool it was just perfect. It’s advertised as cool to the touch which I didn’t think so it doesn’t get hot on the sides but it does get considerably warm so keep it unobstructed on all ends. Heat output is perfect and I would highly recommend this product for anyone who wants to keep a small space a little more cozy.Bottom line since it uses the vortex technology Vornado is famous for it does a great job circulating the heat around you and not just at you. Using it as a standard one speed fan alone was also pleasant. If you want a great example at what this company is then start with their entry level product line. One last thing. Out of the box with it has that new “vinyl” like smell and the power cord is very stiff but very well constructed. I’m not sure how long it will take to rid itself of the new vinyl like smell when I was running but I’m sensitive to certain odors and it gave me a little bit of a headache and nauseous feeling in my stomach for the first couple hours while it ran. The initial burning smell you get from first start up only lasts a couple minutes. Maybe run it in an open area for the first time and see if that help it bake off the odor. Some might say vinyl smell or some might say it has a Sharpie permanent marker like smell. Just an FYI.

Good compact heater
This is a good, compact heater. I specifically got this heater as it's a 750 watt heater, instead of the usual 1500 watt type. I needed it for a special use case of warming up extremities without burning them, and it's perfect for this. I have had issues with other heaters in the past where the higher wattage just puts out TOO MUCH heat, and it's easy to get too close to the heater and get burned. This model doesn't do that - I'm not saying one should not exercise all proper safety precautions, but I personally found that even with my hands right up to the heater, they would get warm but not burn. And that's what I wanted.I think it's a good value at this price ($20 at the time of this review) and it does what I wanted it to do. It will keep the chill off of a small room as well.

Good output, easy to move around
Good output for heat and air. Easy to switch the settings around. It does make a very annoying noise if it gets off balance but not enough to turn off. I have in on a low pile rug so it does get off balance sometimes but not enough to active the safety. Usually a quick adjustment is all it needs.

UPDATE// failed after 3 months of light use.
This puts out warm air, direct feel is around 80° f. I have used the smaller quieter ceramic heaters from Vornado and they are quieter and hotter... that is their downfall. this is a little noisier but only what you'd expect for having small fan running. I use it under my desk as I wm no addicted to the sensation of warm air on my feet! the temps are ideal to keep feet comfortably warm without making them sweat! Also with the better air movement then the smaller/ quieter ceramic heaters this model will not be as prone to timely failures. My last 2 Vornado small quiet heaters have lasted 1 year each and the fail too much heat internally causes case to melt internally and parts move. At first you'll notice fan blades begin to rub on start up, then they have about 1 month to complete failure. Not too bad if cost effective for you, but if you can handle the sound of the fan running (low white noise) then I highly suggest you get this model!

Stopped working after a couple of weeks
This product worked well for a couple of weeks. I found the white noise it gave off to be comforting and it gave off enough heat to take the edge off in small spaces. Then it just gave up. The light would turn on when it was plugged in but the fan function stopped working completely. I'm returning it for a refund and buying a different brand.

Small but, mighty. I purchased for my bedroom. it has 3 settings and the middle setting is perfect for my bedroom. I like it for the space we have. It is also perfect for under a desk or bathroom.
