Excellent
This is an excellent book - very well written and very difficult to put down. The prose is very compelling too, and the writing is very witty as well.

Delightful read
Amor Towles put me inside a Time Machine once again with this one as he did with “A Gentleman….”. You end his books with very nice feelings about the time it was and a desire to live in those days.

life as described by amor towels
What beautiful writing, what nuanced descriptions of the human psyche. Transitioning between social strata effortlessly, his words bringing every sketch to life. And not to overstate the relevance but his observations on the society in general and the human mindset in particular continues to be relevant nearly a century after from the setting of the novel. Truly exemplary writing. So glad to have read it.

The Book is a trailer to the man who would create a revolution in the closet writers world!
Every scentence feels like it follows from a perennial source that allows it the impunity of choosing to join the mainstream or to chart its own course.

Nice read
Superb flow. Takes one back to a special era where character was more important than wealth or family. Highly recommended.

Brilliant writer
Brilliant writer. Very perceptive. The book takes a little time to pick up ... but when it does it doesn’t stop.
