Size:180 x 280cm This rug anti-slip underlay is a high performance premium underlay made in America, and unlike other cheaper alternatives will continue to work long past the life of your rug or mat. This underlay has been developed to obtain the best anti-slip performance on smooth floors and the best anti-creep performance on carpet. This underlay is made of two different polyester fibres needle punched together and coated on both sides with a specially formulated water-based pressure sensitive dry adhesive. This specially formulated coating allows it to outperform underlays coated with a plain polymeric-acrylic resin. This underlay is thicker and denser compared to other underlays which reduces horizontal movement that creates the buckling effect under the rug or mat and it gives a light cushioning effect that allows the underlay and the rug or mat to breathe together with no risk of oxidation or discoloration to any flooring surface. This underlay can be repositioned, is odourless and harmless to all carpeting, smooth floors, rugs and mats. Installation Prior to installing the underlay, the floor should be vacuumed, clean and dry. It is safe for use on heated floors installed for residential purposes with temperatures not exceeding 32 degrees Celsius. The underlay can be cut with household scissors or a utility knife and should be cut approximately 5cm smaller than the rug or mat. REMOVE THE PLASTIC FILM BEFORE PLACING THE UNDERLAY (SEE IMAGE ABOVE). When using on smooth flooring, place the grey side down facing the smooth floor and the rug/mat on top of the black side. When using on carpet, place the black side down facing the carpet and the rug/mat on top of the grey side. If you have oversized rugs or mats, simply use as many pieces as required, side-by-side. Taping or splicing is not necessary. Do NOT wash the underlay.

Actually does what it says
I was a bit dubious when I ordered this product. I have a large heavy rug on a carpet with a rather large heavy coffee table sitting on top but somehow the rug managed to move long ways and sideways and wrinkled at the same time. We couldn't understand how all that weight could travel so far so quickly. Once a week I had to pull it back into position. I took a chance on ordering this gripper. My rug is 140cm x200cm and I ordered the120cm x180cm and hoped for the best. It has been down for 2 weeks now and has not moved even 1 cm. I kept watching it almost expecting it to move in front of my eyes. I m so pleased with this and highly recommend. It has made my life so much easier

Excellent on all surfaces. You get what you pay for!
I have tried numerous products over the years to prevent my mats and rugs from creeping on my carpets and slipping on my hard floors, and this is by far the best.I have tested it on a number of my floors including carpet, wood and tiling and it works fantastically well on all of them.I was unsure at first because it’s more expensive than most, so I only bought a small piece to try and I’m glad I did. I will be buying more. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.Make sure you read the installation instructions so that you know which side goes on which surface, and don’t forget to remove the protective film! (see listing images).Would 100% recommend. Well done Amazon.

Does a Great Job !
The runner in our hall would never stay put - even with nobody walking on it, it used to creep on the carpet overnight. We've tried other sticky pads, and even double-sided tape, but nothing stopped it for long. I tried this as a last resort before nailing the thing in place, and it's not moved in over a week!It's "tacky" on both sides rather than sticky, so the runner can be lifted if necessary. I don't know how many times we we'll be able to do this, but I'll be more than happy to buy this again if/when it wears out.

Doesn’t work on rubber backed hall mats!
This product has promise, but not for me: I was confident it would prevent my hall mat from “walking” across the carpet. The product was expensive and I expected it to work. It didn’t. After walking over the mat half a dozen times I had to reposition it -so defeats the object. I believe the problem is that the mat is rubber backed (like a Turtle Mat) and the product does not grip on that. I was too late to return the product and feel a refund would have been in order. I managed to fix the problem by fixing Guerrila tape to the underside of the mat (see photo), which now sticks firmly to the anti slip product. Problem solved. Overall spent >£30 to stop a mat moving lol!On the plus side the anti slip product really does grip the hall carpet. And I am convinced if the mat was a fabric/hessian backed mat it would work very well.

Brilliant! I have a large rug with a canvas ...
Brilliant! I have a large rug with a canvas backing, on carpet. Before using this product you only had to look at it and it would be off across the room. Since using the gripper underlay it literally hasn't budged ( it's been about a month now). Highly recommended.

Basic product, but way over priced
We used the 60x120 strips for our hallway runner. It is alright but nowhere near as good as the other buyers made out. Buyer beware - I think most of the other reviews may be bogus!The product is much thinner and cheaper made than another product we bought a few months earlier for half the price. At £28 for 2x120cm strips quite frankly it is a rip off. It should be half that price at most!The strips did not come cut straight on any dimension and it stretches easily. So we found ourselves wasting a bunch of time having to trim the edges of a 60 cm wide strip to fit neatly under a 60 cm wide runner.One side of it comes covered with a thin plastic, presumably to protect the tackiness so you could adhere it to the underside of the carpet, but we found it didn't stick to the rug at all and had to use 2 sided carpet tape to make it easier to work with.However, once it was all on and cut to the appropriate size our rug does not slip. So in the end, it does that job well.I would also add that the product is very thin and doesn't offer any spring to the rug. Again, there is another product on Amazon that is half the price that is a bit rubbery and it makes the carpets softer and more comfortable to walk on. This product offers no additional padding to the rug.I wouldn't recommend buying this product as there are others that are far cheaper, work better and are more comfortable to walk on.

FANTASTIC PRODUCT
This is the 3rd one purchased - amazing product. When we buy a rug, we buy this backing. The first one was purchased 2 years ago and is still fantastic. Don't hesitate if you want rug to carpet grip (not used on any other surface) this is it!

It Works!
We have a 2.7 metre runner in our hallway which we purchased to protect the fitted light coloured carpet The carpet is 80/20 wool and the runner is also 80/20 wool with a canvas back. We bought a non-slip fabric to go under the runner that was worse than useless. The rug look like a mountain range as soon as it was walked on so I decided to look for a solution.When I found this anti-slip product I thought I would try it and I am delighted to say IT WORKS. I ordered 60x120 (x2) which together was just a bit shorter than the runner leaving 150 mm at each end. I was sceptical at first but with a rug on top of a quality wool carpet it solved the problem. I have no idea if it works on laminate or tiled floors, but it works really well on carpet.
