GET YOURS TODAY!!!
Two of this very same product helped get me through Hurricane Sandy. Lost power for 4- 1/2 days. Keep opening and closing the freezer to a minimum. And the air temperature was somewhat cool, about 55 F during the day. And, 45F to 39F at night in the room. But the ice in the ice tries in the same freezer stay frozen solid 2 1/2 days. Keep my perishables form rotting early (No way to buy more food for a few days). In a warmer climate, results would be different. But for my more, these are a lifesaver that is well worth investing in.PS: YES, I have purchased four more. As I write this, a Nor'easter is plummeting the North East. May loose power again tonight.PPS: I also keep a bottle of Jägermeister in my freezer. And YES,...I got drunk night number one without power. But no other nights. I wanted to save the Jäger for a 'happier' occasion.

Not just for keeping food cold!
I have chinchillas and I live in a desert state where it gets hot as Hades in the summer. I keep several of these in the freezer all summer long to keep my precious furbabies cool. I sew fleece "envelopes" for them and put them in their cages so they can rest their little paws on it without getting freezer burn on their feet or being able to eat the plastic (yes, one of them has done this before). These have been lifesavers for me and they are the perfect size for my chins to lay on and cool off after playing.I buy a couple more every summer, but I agree with other reviewers when they say the plastic used to be thicker and the blocks do bulge oddly when frozen. My old ones are still going strong 4 plus years after buying them and no deformities when I freeze them.

Good ice pack.
Used this ice pack in conjunction with a smaller ice pack in my Coleman 22oz. Cooler. Was out on a hot day (80 degrees) engaging a 4hr High Ropes Course and Giant Zip Line at Peek'n Peaks. After finishing and returning to the vehicle, that sat in an unshaded area in the hot sun the cooler was amply chilled keeping the food inside fresh.I should mention that the total trip, with travel time, was about 9hrs. And upon getting home and unpacking the icepack it was still a bit icy.It is kind of bulky (keep this in mind if purchasing this item for a smaller cooler like mine)It did the trick.I would recommend.

This is a good quality ice pack and it kept my drinks cold ...
This is a good quality ice pack and it kept my drinks cold as advertised. However, I check this product out against the freez pak that sells at your local Walmart for $2.49 and it's very similar in size, quality and durability. Why pay $5.49 for an ice pack when you don't have to?I'm for saving money and I wish the same for the people who are reading my reviews so therefore I'm giving this ice pack 3 stars because you can save yourself about 60% if you purchase the freez pak at your local Walmart. They are the same size ice pack and its similar in quality. I cannot recommend this product because of the price can easily be beaten.****** If you enjoyed my review please vote this review as helpful and feel free to ask me any additional questions and I'll answer them to the best of my abilities ******

Works Great In Coolers But Not Just For The Cooler
I live in Florida so Hurricanes , Lightning , Brush fires and for people up north snow storms can knock out electricity .If you pack these in between your food , not just on top , when power fails your food will stay frozen longer. The more you use the better and packing your food tight will keep food frozen longer.I use them in my freezer and my deep freezer. Two tricks : 1)When you think electricity may be knocked out (storm approaching, etc.) turn your freezer to as cold a setting as soon as possible.2)If you have young kids in the house duct tape the door shut. These are great for cooler use when shopping as well .Throw a few in the cooler and throw the cooler in the car and ice cream and frozen food won't spoil on a hot dayRubbermaid Blue Ice makes the best "frozen pack" I have used.

Best cooler product out there.
I have tried the flexible ice packages before, but they are more fragile and cannot survive long with day use. These Blue ice boxes are very durable. I purchase 2 of them in the fall of 2009, and I use them at least 5 days a week. One of them finally started leaking too much out the cap and that is why I purchased another on amazon. Only $5 every two years to keep my lunch cool all day, I consider that a bargain. The old one that I am still using is working fine and has lost only about 5% or the orignal liquid inside. Will be buying the products until NASA releases something better.

Perfect Ice pack for shorter camping trips and delivering food
Great ice pack. We use it for our midsize soft cooler and it does exactly what we want. Will keep our food cool for long drives or overnight when we go camping. We also use it when we're transporting food for potlucks or get to togethers with friends. Especially if you're bring meat products, it's best to keep food colder as long as possible so as to avoid that darn 'danger zone' they always talk about in the food handlers classes. The pack freezes relatively quickly too so can get it ready in a pinch. Feels solid we've had no problems yet with leaking or anything like that.

Good but not great
Pros:- Stays frozen for an extended period of timeCons:- "Sweats" a lotI bought this to pair with my backpack cooler. It's pretty good I guess. The only thing I have qualms with is that I have to pack it in a Ziplock bag so it doesn't get the interior all wet. I haven't really timed how long it stays frozen. But I did leave it in my cooler backpack overnight and it was still partially frozen.

Highly recommended
Highly recommended. This ice pack sits in my "30 can lunchbox" which is in my work truck for about 14 hours a day. At the end of the day, it's melted maybe 15 percent.
