Better then API, but still not great.
This test kit is the only one I have found by Elos that is better then the cheaper API test kits. It has a lot more precision and accuracy to see how much phosphate you have, the API is almost worthless unless you have very high phosphates. If you want to control algae, you need to know these lower amounts detected by this kit.The cons are that the card is not laminated (ridiculous for such a high priced kit) and the paper is really cheap. Mine has fallen apart where the paper was folded just from handling it (gently) about 10 times. Also, the number two reagent is a syrupy mess and it is almost impossible to get accurate drops to form. They claim to have specially made bottles to cause accurate drops to form, that is a joke as it is a sloppy mess and nothing you can do about it.Despite the problems, it is better then API because it detects the lower amounts you need to know about.
