Thank You.
I cant tell you how pleased I an. There is a straight to the point explanation for every verse. I am an English speaker. I only know a little Arabic. I usually memorize verses in Arabic n go to the English translation. Since Arabic is such a different and ancient and beautiful language, there is always something lost in translation This Quran does a wonderful job at makkng sure those beautiful parts us English speakers would never pick up on is implied. May Allah greatly reward everyone behind this book. And I hope we all use it for the benefit of the hereafter.

not recommended for interfaith appreciation
I believe strongly that humanity needs step away from religious intolerance, and move beyond mere toleration to appreciation of each other's faith traditions. Many years ago, in the spirit of investigation, I read and closely studied N.J. Dawoods translation of the Koran. While, at the time, I decided it wasn't for me, it served to give me some understanding of Islam, an understanding that aided tolerance, even in the face of recent violent events. So, as a supporter of interfaith dialogue and to gain an appreciation of Islam I purchased Qur'an Made Easy to give it a second hearing. Sadly, I only reached the seventh verse of the Opening Surah (Al Fatiha)to experience disappointed outrage. Here the translator renders, what I took in other translations to be directed toward personal attributes, as overt attacks upon faith traditions the translator obviously disapproves of - "(5)Guide us to the straight path (the path of Islam); (6) The path of those whom You have favoured (by guiding them aright); (7)...and not the path of those with whom You are angry (the Jews), nor the path of those who have gone astray (the Christians)." I fail to see how this kind of infantile, divisive Religiosity can help us progress toward a saner, more compassionate, more inclusive future.I welcome recommendations of more suitable translations of the Koran, and/or commentaries, that are not laden with intolerance.Dr. David Williams

A Nice Translation
This translation is wonderful! It doesn't leave anything out and is a comprehensive Quran but allows English speakers to fully understand it in simple language and explanation. The author has put a lot of work into translating it and putting commentary so everyone can read the book. At only $4.99 it is one of the best priced books on Amazon Kindle. This edition is especially great because you can search for passages you want with your Kindle's search feature and get definitions on words with the built in dictionary. This is a professionally made, excellently translated book and I would give it 5 out of 5.

Some grammatical errors
I am not completely done with reading the book. I have found a lot of grammatical errors and I have just started reading it. So far I am at location 1204 where it is going through the four subjects in the Qur'an. Problem here is the book only lists three1) Beliefs2) Legislation3) Narratives and Happenings Where is number four? I am not trying to be a critic of this amazing compilation. By all means I am hooked by this book. I absolutely astounded that something like this exists. I would recommend this to anyone. I only give this three starts because of all of the errors pertaining to grammar and editing errors. Please try to make an effort in correcting these mistakes by proofreading or peer reading for errors.

A Great English Translation with Commentary
This is by far the best translation of the Quran on the Kindle. It is translated so it can be understood easily in English by anyone studying the Quran, or reading it. The translation was done extremely well and is very easy to understand. The notes are also very helpful and while they don't intrude upon your reading experience they let you know what some words, places, and things mean. It doesn't leave anything out and is a great studying tool for English students learning about it or anyone else who would like it in an easy to read, and understand format.

Perhaps "Understandable but laborious" rather than "Easy"
The preface is excellent! It explains the origin of the Quran and convinces me that it is faithful to the original. It also explains the relationship of the Quran to other holy texts. Perhaps most importantly, it points out the questionable provenance of the Christian Gospels - for more on this see Misquoting Jesus: The Story Behind Who Changed the Bible and Why by Bart D. Ehrman. The continued use of many Arabic words requires frequent use of the glossary which in turn requires a great deal of re-reading and study. I wonder if the translator might have accomplished his purpose better by inserting the definitions in place of the Arabic; the Arabic forces the reader to study, not simply browse through the text. The inline commentary provides better understanding of the current interpretation of the Quran - though, as with any religious commentary, I question whether the current interpretation coincides with the original intent. This is not a simple transliteration. It is for serious study by those who wish to understand contemporary Islam. Study it with an open mind and you will gain a great deal of respect for Islam.

The Qur'an and the Bible both teach the same lessons.
I am amazed at how many people I have heard saying something about the Qur'an or Islam, who obviously know nothing of what they speak. Mohammed was a prophet, just like many before him including John the Baptist, who I associate the most closely to Mohammed. Just like anyone else in the world 99.9% of Muslims want the same thing Christians or Jews want, peace, prosperity, and to live their life without violence! BTW, I'm a white, middle-aged Christian male.

I don't know what the text is like because I can't get to it to read it
The content of this book is so large that it is unworkable. It takes ages to turn each page, and it often just jams everything. I don't know what the text is like because I can't get to it to read it. Will have to purchase another version.
