I bought the 2-pack of black counter-height stools. I was a bit apprehensive because some reviewers reported quality issues, but bearing Amazon's return policy in mind I took a chance. I'm glad I did. The wood seems fine, and there are no imperfections in the black paint. Both stools had the metal footrest. They're surprisingly comfortable for unpadded wood — I even spent 2–3 hours working on my laptop and that felt okay.And there's zero wobble.One caution during assembly: remember to connect everthing _loosely_. Only when you have all screws started should you start tightening them all the way. I forgot that rule and tightened each screw before starting the next, but then I couldn't get the last screw to bite into the predrilled hole. Finally I unscrewed all the others most of the way, at which point the last one went in easily and then I tightened everything up.I have hard-surface floors, so I appreciate the included felt pads. They were easy to attach and after a couple of weeks of use they show no signs of coming off.

My wife and I received these bar stools recently…and they look great. However, the packaging was missing the single piece that hides the hardware. I’d really appreciate it if we could get that piece because it looks silly and I’m think of returning them without it. Five stars if I get the missing piece sent to us.

Easy assembly. Sturdy stools.

Well built for the price. I'm 6'3" and over 300 pounds and have no concern of it holding up. If you want to make it rock solid, put a little drop of wood glue at each joint as your putting them together.

Some imperfections for sure but over all decent stools. Ex: One of the wood nubs that you put in the screw holes was too small so it went in too far and now you can see the wood on the inside of the hole. There are 2 smudges that's in the paint on top of one of the stools and a scratch. And a scratch on one of the foot rest pieces. Quality control needs to improve for sure...when you buy something that's brand new, it should look perfect imo...if you get something 2nd hand, that might be different. But ideally you should receive something that looks perfect...why should the burden be upon the consumer to try and return it, when clearly the one who packaged the item could see that it was damaged and then went ahead and packaged it and sent it anyway. But I'm still satisfied overall, I don't want to deal with the trouble of returning and then what's to say I won't receive another imperfect item.
