This stuff works.
Title says it all. This stuff works. That’s really all you need to know. But here’s my long review if you want to know more…For the past few years, I was having this scalp issue. It had gradually become worse and worse - spreading over a larger area and even beginning on the right side (was originally on the left only.) I didn’t know what it was but I tried various shampoos and herbal/home remedies. Nothing worked. I finally went in to a dermatologist who diagnosed it as scalp folliculitis and gave me a prescription medicated shampoo and topical antibiotic. Still no relief. Some things I tried seemed to clear it up initially but never completely and never for more than a week or so. Then I found this shampoo. I have been using it for a month now and just bought another bottle. (ETA it’s actually been about seven weeks so almost two months.)The itchiness is gone. The flaking is gone. All but one sore is gone. I use the shampoo at least every other day. If I do go to day three, I will have some thicker flakes/scaling show up but they’re very mild and only in one small area (the original area where it all began). A single shampooing will clear them up. Very recently, I did have a couple very small sores flare up - but like the flaking, they immediately cleared up after I washed it. The last sore I have left still has improved but it simply will not go away. I’m thinking it’s a cyst, ingrown hair, or something like that and will require another trip for the doctor to actually remove whatever it is. But aside from that, it’s all cleared up!Things worth noting:It has sulfur in it. Most hair will love it but it can be damaging for some. My hair loves it and it has more volume than normal. It stinks. The scent sometimes lingers. Sometimes I will wash *just the length, not the scalp* with another shampoo. It doesn’t lather well. Occasionally it will a little bit if you apply a small amount of water and rub it in your hands before applying it to your scalp. But usually it doesn’t. This can be hard to get used to if you’re used to chemical-laden shampoos that lather a lot. Just put some of this shampoo on your fingers and rub it into your scalp well, concentrating on the worst areas. You may think it’s not going to clean your hair but it does! Just work it in well with your fingers.Once you have it worked in, let it sit for a few minutes. Then add a little bit of water and work it in a bit more before rinsing.Did I mention it actually works?!

Works Great!
I had been fighting with scalp folliculitis for months, it appeared out of nowhere and became very painful not to mention unsightly. It was most prevalent on the back lower hair line and on the temple areas. Nothing worked and so I decided to try this as a last ditch effort before seekinh medical attention.Within days of the first use was showing signs of improvement. Now nearly 3 months in I only get an occasional recurrence (and very small areas at that, usually less than a size of pencil eraser)Smell, not so great, smells like... well gas (sorta) but hey it works, so Ill be sticking with it.

I tried it and so far, so good!
I purchased this item November 2015. It's January 2016 and my scalp has been clean for a while. I don't know if it's the shampoo or the combination of the shampoo with clindamycin. However, my scalp is clean. I have had scalp and body folliculitis in a chronic stage for many, many years, too many to count. Painful postules stopped me from wearing a hat in frigid temperatures, embarrassing haircuts, where if the barber nicked me, I bled, head hurt to place on pillows at night, and if the base of my scalp touched the shirt collar, it hurt.I've taken antibiotics which made it go away for a while; Accutane, which gave me racing suicidal thoughts so had to be taken off it, but it did clear my scalp for about 6 months, and have used combinations of tea tree oil shampoos and clindamycin foam. Nothing worked. They always reappeared. Docs have said, "it's something you'll have to live with."I decided to try this shampoo based on the reviews. Some of the reviews are good, some are bad. I bought the shampoo and the scalp solution together and began treatment. Yes, I didn't/don't like the smell, but I was desperate to try anything that would help. After first couple of shampoos, the folliculitis seemed to get worse. The postules got more sore, more red, and more tender to the touch. It was painful. I have them on my chest hairs as well and they got more tender and red as well. But I persevered. At first, I didn't want to use anything else with the shampoo to rule out the possibility of not knowing if it was working or not. But it got so bad, I added the clindamycin into the mix. I was shampooing every day. Leaving it on for a full 5 minutes. I'd take a break for a few days, use the clindamycin, and then go back to shampooing. So for the month of December it was shampooing on and off and applying the clindamycin. I don't know when they disappeared, but I haven't had a break out. I'm skeptical. I keep waiting for them to reappear so I'm still shampooing as a preventative measure, but my scalp is clean. My chest shows the remnants of past postules, but currently no active puss filled painful postules.I laid off the solution because it smells like wet dog. Not a good thing when riding NYC subways and people are pressed up against you with their noses stuck in your hair. Who says NYers don't care?Anyway, was it the shampoo, the clindamycin, the combo? I don't know. I've used clindamycin foam for years and it's relief has only been minor or temporary. It's like whack a mole. One goes away and three more pop up.All I know is I'm going to continue using this shampoo. I will check back in next month and let you know if its still working.Good luck!

Ok. Not my problem, but ok.
Whatever is on my scalp, this didn’t work. I ended up going to Sephora to get a really great product called a scalp scrub that uses coconut oil so that it doesn’t dry your scalp out. I bought the shampoo and the conditioner and my head doesn’t itch all the time and I don’t get these little red bumps that are so painful. I’ve always looked at ingredients,Because my concern was that I was allergic to something I get at the store. Sephora, and this particular line of product that I got there, is what they call “clean “. So far so good with that. This product didn’t really help, but it was one more box on the list I need to check. It was OK. It didn’t deal with my problem, but it was OK.
