beautifully made paring knife
This was purchased to go with a Misono chef's knife. It will replace a bunch of inferior small knives that are never quite sharp and never quite right for the task!

This knife is awesome!
This is a wonderful knife. It feels perfect in my hand. It is ridiculously sharp. Control with it is very easy. I love this knife! It came in perfect shape. I will be checking out other offerings from Misono.Edit: I bought a second one because I like it so much.

Molybdenum is the key
Ordered 2 by mistake- however, this size & its quality & appearance also are impressive Steak Knives & will be back for more. Stainless steel knives are worthless. They may cut well for 2 days- despite appropriate care, they rust within a week.I’m not a materials engineer, but a friend gave me a set of Japanese Molybdenum knives (@ the time, an “odd” gift.) They came with a ceramic rod sharpener - a MUST HAVE!!!) & said I’d have them for a lifetime… another “odd” statement. He was 1000% correct. I’ve had those knives for 4 decades & they are fabulous… However, I needed a set of knives for a 2nd home. Misono gets 5-stars for its blade, balance, functionality & appearance. The sleek black handles are elegant- even for a formal dinner.Took me awhile to find Misono on Amazon site. But looking forward to adding to my collection: Misono knives are “collectible”.🆘AMAZON My only suggestion: for customers who cannot read Japanese, please add a slip of paper in English so we’ll know how to care for the knives- they are “investment” grade.

Sharp and well-made
I had bought some Cuisinart paring knives on Amazon at Thanksgiving, but they weren't very sharp. I asked the professional who sharpens my knives what off-the-shelf brand he prefers. He recommended Misono. This knife is much sharper. It's smaller than the Cuisinart C77TR-3PR, but I'll still easy to use.

Not the quality I am used to with Japanese knives
The blade, overall, is thinner than other high end paring knives I've had. The knife arrived clean, looking never used, but it was covered with a very sticky substance, that remained AFTER washing it 3 times. I finally used some Citrus Solve on the blade, as I couldn't cut with it sticky. There are no instructions in English that might have explained this. I have Shun and Miyabki knives, this Misono is definitely a lower quality of knife. I will wait and see how it holds up. A bit disappointed.

Wish I found this brand before I bought my other knives.
This the real deal, made in Japan they are the sharpest knives I have ever used and I have the cuts to prove it.
