Dell KM714 Wireless Mouse/Keyboard (5HT18), Black

LOVE this keyboard. Very solid, premium feel. I like DELL's keyboards imprinted fonts, which are modern but discreet. The typing feel is perfect and the keyboard elevation is comfortable. I really like the compact layout, but still having the full numerical keypad. You still get a PgUp, PgDown, Home, End, Insert, Delete and Print Screen keys, along with the full F1-F12 keys, but in a very nice compact layout, that is still spacious enough for a very comfortable typing experience. The main keys spacing is pretty stardard, the space saving only take place in the F1-F12 keys, which are half size and more compactly spaced. Same going for the Insert, Delete, PrtScreen, PgUp, PgDown, Home and End keys, which remain conveniently located. I use the PgUp and PgDown keys a LOT, and this layout still pleases me.Also notice that the keyboard has no logo imprinting at the top, so it will look great with the rest of you computer regardless whether it is from DELL.Also note that this is a LOGITECH manufactured product. It comes with the Logitech Unifying USB wireless connector and works with the Logitech drivers. If you have other Logitech products (ie, a mouse - I use the MX Master), then you only need one driver and one single connector for both devices.The mouse is cheap. Not on the same level as the keyboard. You can use it but I suggest getting something else. At this price the mouse is for free in this bundle.The only complaint is that there isn't a caps lock key on the keyboard, and the driver does not signal on the screen when you switch the caps lock on and off. The only way to know if your caps lock is on or off is by typing something on the screen (which might not help if you are typing a password...). I think this is a driver issue as my older logitech keyboards would signal on the display when I switched the Caps Lock On or Off.

We have about 8 of these in use at work and everyone that has one loves it including myself. I have limited desk space so its compact, low profile design fits perfectly. Although I rated this 5 stars overall, I only gave 4 stars for durability. Please read the cons for more information.Pros:- The chiclet style keys feel good to type on- One USB adapter for the mouse and keyboard- Compatible with Logitech Unifying technology. Allows me to swap out the (although still good) Dell mouse with a better quality Logitech mouse while still using the same USB adapter.- Low profile, compact design- Has some weight to it and feels of quality- Mouse automatically shuts off after no usage for long periods of time to save battery life- Battery life. I think I replaced batteries in my keyboard once after 1 1/2 years and I use it 5 days a week. Mouse lasts about a year.- Batteries includedCons:- The mouse could be better. After about 2 years of usage, the power button on the bottom of two mice have become pushed in and stuck causing tracking issues and inability to power on/off.- The mouse was too "flat" for a few users and didn't feel comfortable in their hand.- The enter key on the number pad for two users cracked horizontally down the middle. They each had the keyboard for about 2 years using it 8 hours/day, 5 days/week. Haven't experienced broken keys on any of the others. One of the users would not accept any other keyboard except this one for a replacement.Overall I would recommend the KM714 keyboard and mouse combo.

Overall, It's a great bargain for a sleek, comfortable, and surprisingly sturdy keyboard and a mouse that isn't half bad.** The keyboard **Pros: It's excellent, if you like chiclet-style keyboards. It's surprisingly sturdy and comfortable to type on. I don't find myself awkwardly reaching for keys and the angle of the keyboard, although fixed, is what you'd expect of a low profile keyboard with the legs extended.Cons: No caps lock light.** The mouse **I was hoping to purchase the keyboard by itself as I had my doubts about the ergonomics and quality of the mouse. After using it for a few weeks, I have to say it's here to stay.Pros: The sides have a rubberized coating which offers a nice grip and there's an auto off feature to extend battery life. Two programmable side buttons and a decent scroll wheel included; it does the basic job of pointing and clicking well.Cons: It's a no frills mouse...No flywheel for scrolling, doesn't track on glass (Doesn't use Logitech's Darkfield technology, even though it uses the Logitech unifying receiver and innards) and for me, not comfortable enough for prolonged use due to its palm swell or height.

Sweet keyboard! Mouse is simple than most gaming mice I have become accustomed to, but functions adequately. I love the layout and typing experience of the keyboard. The keyboard captures every key press without error other than my mistypes. Battery life is great and doesn't chew through batteries quickly. Only critique I would say is that I wish there was a place to store the wireless dongle. It does make moving around with the keyboard troublesome having to find a separate place to store the dongle. It doesn't diminish the fact that this is a good quality keyboard and mouse that have not failed in many months of use.
