Men's Navy Edema Slipper for Swollen Feet-Opens Fully

These slippers work for my 93 year old wheelchair bound father.
I bought these for my 93 year old father. He is no longer able to walk and sits in a wheelchair most of the day, has swollen feet occasionally and on those occasions his regular shoes and slippers do not fit. My father also has trouble moving his legs easily. I spent hours looking on line for something for him. I wanted something that looked good, but did not want him to have anything with too much weight or support as he does not walk. Out of the box i was a bit concerned that these were going to be too flimsy and light weight. But what i thought might be flimsy, turns out to be, easy to manipulate, to put on even with his legs dangling and slightly under the wheel chair and his not being able to help get his feet into a position to put normal shoes on. They open up fully in the front so we can slide his feet into the slippers, and then adjust the heel and velcro the front portion closed. They have enough soft warm material inside (not a lot of warm material--light weight-but just enough) to keep his feet warm. He always wears socks and so they keep his feet cozy, but not overheated. Sometimes one of his feet will work its way out of the heel portion but not too often. These work out well for my father and I just ordered a second pair. My only complaint...i see at this point they only come in one color, dark blue. I am very pleased with this product.

Much smaller than expected, and looks more like a woman's slipper
I got these for my 90 year old father who has swollen feet plus they've been bandaged for wound healing. He usually wears a 10 so I got the large which said it would fit sizes 9-11. The adhesive dots stuck inside the slippers said L(10-11).There would be no way he could get these on himself, even with his trusty shoehorn. But to be fair, it could be that his feet are more bandaged than most, and that is why there was a fit issue. I myself had a hard time getting them on him.But the first thing he said when I showed them to him was, "Why did you get me women's slippers?" The photo that accompanied the item in the Amazon listing makes it look the the shoe is made of a matte fabric. When we got it, it was a shiny, satiny quilted material. At least to our eyes, it looked like a woman's slipper. He balked at having to wear them.

Comfortable
These were for my Father. He likes the slippers and finds them comfortable. onky issue is that they were washed in the washing machine and now they are fraying but still wearable.

Life saver!!
My husband has late stage liver cancer, and because of this he has major swelling in the feet, and all the way up his legs. He typically wears a 10.5-11 shoe. This extra large slipper fits him so perfect, and has the solid sole so he can wear it outside too. Easy to get off and on. Velcro is great, as some days the feet aren't as swollen as others, so I can tighten them up as necessary for him. I can't recommend these enough, they are truly a life saver!!

Not At All For Swollen Feet/Edema
I received this promptly and found after opening the package that the material/fabric used to make this slipper went down hill from what they advertise. Very flimsy polyester type material that can't hold itself in place. The rubber sole is more like hard plastic and caused me to slip and slide on my wood floors, definitely a trip hazard for anyone especially the elderly or disabled. The slipper is made with a wind breaker type material with fluff in the inside. The heel will not stay up and after walking around in them, the heel will slip down the back of your foot and you end up stepping on the heel part. The heel part of the slipper eventually ends up completely under your heel. Very tight at the toes made my feet feel pressured. The velcro attachments are not properly aligned with the slipper. Very poorly made and not worth anywhere to what they charge for them. I returned the slipper the same day for a refund and purchased something of better quality and better build for a bit more and I am happy with the new slipper I purchased instead. Great adjustability for feet that swell
Bought these for my Dad for his birthday for his swollen feet caused by renal & heart failure. The slippers he had, he couldn't get his foot all the way in, and were too hard for him to manage. So these were perfect. I can't comment on durability, etc. Unfortunately my Dad passed a few days later. He didn't have shoes that fit, so these went with his suit to the funeral home!

Good buy!
I bought these for my dad who has advanced liver disease and severe swelling in his legs as a result. He loves these because they are adjustable , and comfy in bed and around the house . Now that he is wheel chair bound they also slide easily while we push the wheelchair. Great alternative / change to diabetic socks which he loved a few weeks ago before the swelling become so severe.

Disappointed....
By the looks and description of this slipper I was confident in getting the right shoewear for my 84 year old father with swollen feet and ankles. When he tried them on he said they hurt and were tight in front regardless of the adjustment. Also did not give any support around the ankle as they are very light, thin and not very sturdy at all. When I went to adjust the slipper and snug it up the other side of the flap just tore away. Sorry, but not worth the money, I returned them.
