Been running this OVERTURE black PLA through my Ender for a couple weeks now and honestly, it's been cruisin smooth. First off, it feeds like butter. No jams, no weird tangles, none of that headache mess that can pop up with cheaper filament. I just loaded it up and forgot about it. Which is kind of the dream right?The print quality is real decent too. Layers go down nice and even, like pancakes if you got a steady hand. I been making some functional stuff like tool holders and a couple decorative bits just to test it, and the surface finish came out clean. Not super glossy but not chalky either, just that nice in between look that doesn't scream “homemade” in a bad way.Color's solid too. It’s not that washed out gray black some spools give you. This one’s a true black, deep and consistent all the way through. Doesn’t fade out halfway through a print like I’ve had with other rolls. Definitely passes the eyeball test.Cardboard spool’s kinda whatever to me. Some folks get all excited about the eco friendly angle but I just care if it spins right and it does, so no complaints there.One tiny thing, it does like a little extra first layer squish. If you're used to fuss-free filaments, just keep that in mind. Once I dialed the z-offset in a touch lower, it stuck like a dream.Honestly, for a basic filament it punches above its weight. Great for everyday prints, prototypes, even some cosplay parts if you're painting after. If you're not trying to get all experimental with fancy materials and just want something reliable that won't drive you nuts, this is the one.

Quick and easy to use and runs smoothly through your prints and printer like butter on a knife with a strong consistency and filament quality and the colour is good Old fashioned matte black there isn’t that much of a smell and the print temperature remains consistent

I've been using Overture PLA filament for my 3D printing projects, and it has exceeded my expectations! The filament feeds smoothly without tangling or clogging, and the prints come out with excellent layer adhesion and minimal stringing. This is one of my go to filament brands.The colors are rich and vibrant, and the finish gives prints a professional look. I also appreciate that it’s eco-friendly and has very little odor while printing. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced printer, Overture PLA is a reliable and high-quality choice. I'm new to 3d printing but I doubt this is common. I've only tested the black and white filament, but they both have this issue. When I've finished a print and leave the printer for a day or so, I'll come back and find that if there's any slight angle left in the filament where it's fed into the machine, it'll break there. Likewise, even just weaving the filament through the holes in the spool that are designed for that results in the filament breaking after about a day. I've started to get in the habit of turning off my machine with the z axis set much higher to keep the spool from sitting with an angle which could notably could be a design flaw of my machine Jgmaker magic, but having the filament break just from storing it is frustrating. Both of these result in the filament unwinding and wasted filament, which sucks.That frustration aside, it prints great. It adheres very well to the print bed (perhaps too well). The quality is very good too, with virtually no anomalies throughout big prints. All of my prints have been pretty clean and consistent. All in all it's great filament. Just be careful when letting it sit for prolonged periods of time. If it's left with any semi-hard angle, it'll break there.

This does some amazing prints. I really haven't tried any other brand of filament yet because the quality has been so great! This is my 4th spool and out of those 4, one had an issue, the filament some how got bound up and caused a couple failed prints, which was my own fault, since I had just changed colors and didn't tie up the loose end (lesson learned). A couple of my favorite Things I printed was the xenomorph (Alien) egg pen cup, Pokemon Eevee and a fan guard for the Ender 3. Plus I used it to print all the upgrade parts for an Anet A8 modification.Bed adhesion has been perfect, I've gotten into the habit of printing everything on rafts and haven't had a print fail due to bad adhesion, in fact some of them are tough to lift off the bed. The only adhesion problems were due to temperature issues caused by the Ender 3 board fan, which is directly below the print bed in the front left corner, this was solved with the fan guard, highly recommended if you buy an Ender 3.Every spool comes vacuum packed and includes a 200x200 print bed mat and a small ruler with inches on one side and metric on the other, very handy.
