It was our 3rd walkie talkie and the best one. Of course the other 2 were very cheap and never worked. This product is expensive but totally worth it. Range is too good. My son is loving it 🙂...

Long term review.
I am a HAM radio enthusiast and wanted this radio for my family as it is truly license free in India. This is a long term review after using the product for about one and half months. This is a true PMR446 compliance radio. Which are made legal in India as of 2018. The range of this radio is truly 1.5 kms if used in open area. Real-world range in the city and closed area may vary. But I’m truly satisfied. I live in a countryside so I get best results.Here are the pros and cons.Pros:+Great audio quality.+Great range as promised.+USB-C charging.+Long battery life.+Stury built quality. Feels strong.+All are good colors.Cons:-No battery level indicator.-No programming PC software included. Most PMR446 compliance radios abroad come with programming software or can be downloaded from manufacturer’s official website. Vertel is not providing such software.-When battery levels are low, annoying voice prompts are activated which are too frequent.-You can’t change CTCSS or DCS without PC software.-Can’t be used with other brand radios due to unknown privacy codes.-Voice prompts can’t be turned off without PC software.This is a 5-star product. But deducting one star because of lack of software support.
