Got this for a stinking work fridge after milk got spilt and smell lingered, it worked so well at getting the fridge back to smelling fresh within a matter of hours. Highly recommend

The reason I purchased it: I have a built-in fridge/freezer at my place. It got noisy and the maintenance team hasn't fixed the issue yet. Hence I turned it off. I then noticed an awful smell after opening the fridge/freezer a week later. I've never left any food unpackaged inside of it. So the smell was caused by an internal component.Hence I brought this product 1 month ago and it has drastically reduced the smell every time I've checked the fridge/freezer (still off).Positives:- It is very easy to use. Just remove the thin plastic packaging and put this product (pictures uploaded) directly into the fridge/freezer. There are two, so you can put one in each.I'm assuming if you only used one, keeping the other inside of the plastic packaging keeps it intact/still new (so still usable maybe 5 years down the line).- "bamboo charcoal", "chemical free".- "reusable for up to two years".- "After two years sprinkle the bamboo charcoal into the soil"Negatives:- "simply recharge in direct sunlight every month". How do I know when the recharge is complete? I haven't recharged yet, but I'm assuming leaving one day (24 hours) on my window sill (winter now in the UK) will be long enough. I've currently used the product for 30 days. My fridge/freezer smell can be smelt on it, so I'm assuming this smell will go away after 24 hours of leaving on my window sill. I'm assuming that's the purpose of 'recharge' (refresh) because this certainly isn't a battery.- "sprinkle the bamboo charcoal into the soil". This product can not be opened up without breaking it, as far as I can tell. Additionally, it looks like it is wrapped inside a tea bag or something. Where does that go, in the bin? How long does that take to biodegrade?- Why not allow users to manually unlock the product without breaking it?- Why not allow us to directly buy refill bamboo charcoal bags?

Works straight away. Had a spoiled meat smell in my bar fridge for a few weeks. Once I put this in the fridge, after a few hours the smell is comoletely gone.

My wife and I moved house recently which was a process that took 11 months, our fridge was left with doors closed in a garage during that time so had all the extreme temperatures. When we finally moved in and opened the fridge and the freezer we were greeted by the most horrific smell of rotting meat, it made me cry it was that bad. We tried everything the Internet recommends bicarbonate of soda, coffee, newspaper, bit of elbow grease and kitchen cleaner, etc but nothing worked. My wife kept threatening to throw the fridge away as it stunk the house out and we had nowhere to store our food for about a week at this point which was not cheap. Eventually I saw this and thought why not, if you have any doubt just go for it, within a day I noticed a difference and the smell was completely gone after 3 or 4 days. We left the unit off initially but then decided to turn it on to circulate the air and that helped. Now we just leave it in there for general smells, amazing.All you do is take it out the plastic wrapper it comes in and it's good to go, very easy to use and if it got rid of my ingrained rotting meat smell then it will work for anything else.

I cleaned my fridge with disinfectant before I put this in and it still smells odd. I emptied fridge out before cleaning so have done all I can to stop things smelling everything is wrapped, it has been a few days now and it still smells, no terribly impressed.

A great product ... did exactly what "it said on the tin". Solved our fridge's problem and proved entirely fit for purpose. Well worth the cost - certainly a recommended product given my use of it and experience with it.

Nice product.Not sure it’s completely got rid of the smell but seems to have helped somewhat. I like that it looks quite neat & doesn’t take up any room too.

These do work; our camper is parked up for some time with the fridge switched off, and even with the door shut, these keep the fridge relatively odour-free.
