This bag, is definitely sturdy for sure. I had a Klein bag, and it ripped within two weeks I was kind of pissed off especially with the money spent. this bag is a fraction of the cost and is made better.

I needed a drop bag for when I was working on a boom lift and this did the job. good hand feel. deep enough to hold a sawzall.

Just as good if not better than some other brands that are out there,The 100+LB capacity in the collapsible bucket is a bonus but one that I'll never use.Leather bottom makes it very sturdy and no, it's not water proof or even resistant.I don't use it for welding purposes I use it for a whole other application and it works incredibly well due to the compact nature of the collapsing canvas.I'm happy with the overall design and stitching is also excellent.The rope does have leather reinforcement areas where it connects to the bucket itself so pretty sure it will take a lot to wear this out.
