Better than the hair professionals or flowb**... for me.
Fyi: works better than the flowb** for me.Cuts more even, easier to adjust length for: top, sides, back, & around ears.It cuts my hair faster, easier, and better so I end up better cut than the flowb**.It also gives me a better and more consistent haircut than the hair professionals have done... for me.This newest model seems a bit sturdier than the last 2 purchased over the last 20 years, so lasting 10 years each is still excellent. At 15 bucks a cut every ~1.5 mo. it's saved ~2,200 so far; and then don't get me started on all the hours saved on getting a faster robocut, not having to drive to & from, waiting, hair washing, etc. at the hair professionals.Never had to do any maintenance or sharpen the blades. I did use the wrong oil once which caused the plastic to crack on my 1st robocut (my bad). My 2nd robocut got dropped on the tile one too many times (also my bad). The flowb** has a bit of trouble pulling up thicker hair and cutting; my son who had been using the flowb** for several months had to stop using the flowb** mid-haircut on his last cut and switch back over to the robocut. My brother in-law has only used the flowb**, also for 20 years or so too, but he does cut his hair every week.

Hot garbage
I had a 1st gen robocut that worked well for years. The motor finally gave out.. I then had a flobee, which I didn't like as much. It stopped cutting. So I got this. It's crap. It cuts unevenly and slowly. It's loud. It pulls your hair.. Stay away...

Works good for kids
My kids have a difficult time getting a haircut due to the hair landing on their skin and making them itchy. After talking with some friends, one mentioned they use this product on their own kid for the same reason. After receiving the product and following the directions were cut our oldest sons hair with ease. No fuss and no mess.Pros:- No mess to clean up- Multiple shrouds for different hair cut lengths- Ease of use- Easy to store away- Comes with everything needed in box including a pet shroudCons:- Loud, no problems for kids though- Must be oiled every 5 minutes according to directions (of course the oil doesn't smell very good and you must wash hair after as it leaves the smell in the hair)- Build quality seems to be thin plastic so hopefully it will last.- Directions could be betterOverall this is a pretty good product and glad we made the purchase as our kids have an easier time getting a cut from this than with clippers.

Stopped working after 2 uses
My husband bought this thinking it would be an easy, clean way to cut his hair at home. Well..... 1. The hose did not fit our vacuum, he had to use the shop vac instead. 2. It is extremely loud. 3. He used it twice, and when he went to use it for the third time, it would not turn on. It's to late to return it, so it's going in the trash; I would not buy this again.

No mess to clean up, no itchy back.
I have 4 boys from 4 to 10 years old. I do not want to be spending $15 on each kid every 4-6 weeks for haircuts. I saw a couple of reviews on this Robocut that were positive so I decided to give it a try. That was about 4 months and 2-3 haircuts ago. My assessment now. It's worth the money. There is a learning curve to it. After the first time I felt much more comfortable in using it. I'm still improving. I absolutely love that I can cut the boys' hair anywhere and not see a single clipping of hair. They also don't have a single hair under their collar. You can literally cut your hair and walk away with out risking an itchy back. I love that!!!It works really really well. I hope this continues as it gets older. It has passed the first customer satisfaction test with me. Time will tell if it passes the longevity test. The key is to follow the instructions and keep the blades oiled. I oil the blades 3-4 times per haircut. It's easy. You'll know when the motor starts slowing a little that it's time for another 4 drops of oil. Just follow the danged instructions and you should be fine.

Poor design, cheaply built
Seems like a very poor design. I tried it on myself and was less than impressed. It kept pulling at my hair rather than cutting it cleanly, but I was able to get most of a haircut in. The blades spin very fast but I can't tell if it is trying to cut my hair, chop it, burn it off, or pull it out. And it feels like all of the above. So I tried it on my 2 boys (they have finer hair and I thought that might help). They both screamed as it twisted their hair all up in knots.. Then it got stuck in his hair, and I gave up. It will go in the trash, it isn't even worth returning.I have used a Flowbee in the past and loved it. Was just trying to save some money.

Autologous haircut money saver.
Third one owned. The second one had bad smelling plastic this third one seems to be of the same high quality in my first one. Pays for itself in a year and lasts 7-12 years. The plastic extensions break easy but what are you going to do. :0)
