Is this really green? Cap looks gray. I want to use this under some orange paint, will the colors blend?

I also am about to use an orange base coat... Did this blend well with your orange?

I have an aluminum truck tool box that has a urethane clear coating, can I scuff up the box, clean it and use this before applying a bedliner coating

If the clear is intact and not peeling I wouldn’t etch... etch primer only adheres properly to bare metal... if using a quality two component bed liner I might spot prime lightly then bedline

Is a water based or oil based primer best for hi top conversion van with fiberglass roof?

A paint that sticks and helps other paints stick.!!

Some surfaces are coated with a rust and corrosion inhibitor, or is alluminum or other surface. This product helps to bind with the substrate. I use it as it is as its a grey, or greenish that matches a lot of things. Or a topcoat and it holds up well. I mean Rustoleum holds up well anyway in my experience but this adds another bond. The green product does not say automotive. Pretty much the same other than that! Not sure how this works on plastic, however rustoluem has another product just for alluminum.

Excellent primer!

This worked very well for my application. I painted a hitch coupler that I welded up from bare metal. The primer was easy to apply evenly and made for a good looking top coat. It has held up impressively being used on an ATV trailer frequently towed over gravel roads.
