This is the gold standard for kitty food!
My cats have been eating Halo for years rotating with Freedom chicken dry and wet food. I discovered it years ago when a local Petco was clearancing it out and I got it for dirt cheap. My kitties gobbled it up like candy - but then I couldn’t find any more in stores except from Amazon or Chewy. Amazon prices are better and it’s less of a splurge for the babies - quality is great - kibble is easier to eat (small, flat, 3 pt star shaped) - and mostly I love the fact that they don’t use any unhealthy animal meals as fillers like most all the other brands do. I do notice when they eat Halo there is almost no puking, which seems to be more common when they eat other brands of dry food (Blue Freedom and Wilderness lines, Merrick, Acana etc).

Healthy holistic cat food, my favorite part is the EASY close on the bag! I will continue to buy for that easy close Velcro. Love it

Halo good quality kibble, looking at the first 5, but not knowing the source of all ingredients is a problem.
The first 5 ingredients are basically what most pet food critics use to review kibble.Above average content and appears to be recall free, not chemical free and no guarantee that the sourcing of products is clear of problems. That is something I watch since the 2007 recall. The largest recall of pet food in the history of the World revealed almost all pet food companies were using the same sources for their protein booster. The melamine used to inflate the rate of protein in pet food months later also caused a recall in baby formulas. I've followed the many lawsuits against pet food companies and the one woman criticizing the Pet Food Industry and AAFCO for their lack of regulatory control over pet food ingredients Susan Thixton. Her Truth about Pet Food, Petsumer Reports caught HALO using some cans that were not BPA free. I rate a food on the overall production quality of the company as well as the individual food because unknown factors are what killed 2 of my pets. It was a long slow death.I have one mom and her grown kindle. First, they all loved it.Second, I have UTI's amongst the group. To fight the cost of feeding all soft food I moisten kibble, then use a topper. The topper is often home cooked, even that has chemical problems. The issues of food safety for pets is so complex that I've come to think it very important that a company reveal the source that provided their extra food additives. Halo does not do that. In that regards they don't make me feel any more confident about their product than some of the formerly recalled companies.Halo is quick to become soft when distilled water is poured on it. I refrigerate it for the process and then pour something warm over it. That is a good thing for feeding a group of cats where more than one has repeat urinary tract problems.I purchased mine at a discount, again one reason I could afford it. I find it pricey. At full price this is in a price range that I can also buy Honest Kitchen. A company that does publicly post where all their ingredients are sourced. Their cat food is chemical free, to the extent any food is chemical free.Thumbs up but with precautions.

My cats love this food!
My cats regularly eat Simply Nourish® Original Cat Dry Food - Chicken & Pea, Natural, Grain Free. They love this food, I wanted to add another type of food to it for a variety for them. I purchased this Halo, grain free chicken dry cat food, added it into the box that I keep their other food in, and mixed it in really well. Then I gave them some of the mixed combination. They loved this food! They were pushing their other food out of the way to get to this food! I have noticed less vomiting's, and their fur coats are so soft! I have 4 cats, they all like it! Also, everything in the litter box looks good too!

My cat loves it
I bought this cat food because my cat is prone to throwing up. Maybe the lack of grains and the provided probiotics will help her to stop. I can't speak to that yet, but I can say she loves the taste and eats it right up.

The Strays Are Eating Good ❤️
Got this when it was on sale for a friend who feeds a semi-feral cat. I used to, but I had to move. So, she was kind enough to take over (along with another neighbor who also feeds and provides shelter). They seem to enjoy this food well enough because they’re eating it. I also like that this is supposedly certified humane. Little expensive for what the ingredients actually are, otherwise, though. But, you have to pay a premium for the animals that died to be made into [this] cat food to be treated even half decently. Horrible, isn’t it? Seems like that should be the norm. I know that’s not the case, at all, since 99% of meat comes from atrocious factory farms. I’m just saying the animals that sustain “us” and our pets should be treated much better, overallAnyway, that being said, I’m glad more “humane” pet food options, like Halo, exist. And, again, it seems tasty enough!

Something Has Changed...For the Worse!
This used to be my go-to dry cat food for years. My cats always loved this even more than the Halo salmon & whitefish recipe. However, in the last three months they just simply refuse to eat it. Not even trying to eat it. As if the smell or the taste repels them. My cats are not so picky but they just refused to eat it. At first I thought it was a bad batch (although that never happened with this product), but after three months and new packs bought from Amazon and from other stores, my cats just refuse to eat it at all. Now I'm stuck with three full packs of it that they won't eat. This used to be a great product - lots of good ingredients with no "Meal" or "By-Product" and no Carrageenan - all of which are bad for a cat. But now, something's gone terribly wrong with it.Perhaps other cats might not feel any difference, but I have three very different cats and none are eating it.Now I need to find a new dry food for my cats :(
