This is more a paste. Very thick. Hold hair perfectly

Q: will it wash with water easily?

Yes, it gets washed out easily. But shampooing would be better because in my personal opinion your scalp remains chemical free rather than hair.

Q: My husband's short (crew cut) hair is smashed down from using his cpap. will it stand his hair back up?

No experience with cap. But sleeping my hair flattens. I wet and it stands up and curls gently again
