Mrs. Anderson’s Baking Spice Jar Measuring Spoons, Heavyweight 18/8 Stainless Steel, Set of 6 Narrow Measuring Spoons

I have been using my old set of aluminum or plastic measuring spoons for years so I decided I deserved an upgrade. I ordered these, rectangular "spice spoons" and another set of stainless round ones,  Palada 430 Stainless Steel Measuring Spoons, Set of 6, Engraved, Cute Ring Holder, for Dry and Liquid Ingredients. Best 430 Stainless Steel. It's Time to Upgrade Your Measuring Set. . Both of them impressed me with their weight and quality so I think I'm good to cook for at least a couple more decades, God willing.I've never had or used any measuring spoons shaped like these but they are amazingly handy for getting into my small spice containers! The handles are longer than on regular measuring spoons as well as the spoon end being shallower and narrower. I have to ask myself, "why didn't I think of something like this?" What a clever idea!These spoons are heavyweight, built sturdy and of visibly thicker metal than the other set I purchased at the same time. The edges are finished well and smoothly. They are marked with both U.S. and Metric units.I see no mention of a warranty nor did I find anything on their website. They do state that they give a portion of the proceeds to Careers through Culinary Arts Program, which is admirable. I'd like to know if they stand behind their products though, and how well, if they do.I'm including some pictures that I hope may be helpful and will update my review as I've had more time to use these. I think I'll be able to pass these down to future generations in my family though, when I'm done cooking with them!Update- After two-plus years of use, these still look like new. They are so handy when you need to scoop out of a jar or can of spice. I would purchase them again.

I love these things! I was using a set from Big Lots for 6 years before finally picking these out. Originally I thought I wanted the All-Clad set, but I'm so glad I got these. They fit in spice jars and are so nicely made - no flexion, no rough edges from manufacture, and the measurement labels will never go away! Also goes in the dishwasher well and doesn't look any less beautiful. I'm finally happy displaying this set on a cup hook on my wall for quick access under my knives. Great product, and a very surprising value for the price. My only question is the key ring - I understand that this would be a plus for some. I haven't taken them apart yet because I'm a bit lazy, but it seems like it might be a little arduous to take them apart and put them back together a bunch. Not a real problem for me though!

I like these measuring spoons because they have the round spoon and the skinny, longer handle. It works better when measuring syrups and weird things like mayonnaise or garlic. They seem sturdy so far. I’m pretty aggressive when I’m baking and cooking and I haven’t bent them yet.

These spice spoons are fantastic. They fit right down in a spice bottle or can, and the handles are long enough to get all the way to the bottom, too. I don't think they are too heavy. In fact, I like the heft of them--it tells me they are a quality product. I'm going to give some to my daughters-in-law as stocking stuffers this Christmas.I ordered these in 2013, and here we are, midway through 2016, and I still love these spoons. Not only are they great, but they don't break. I had some that did not have solid stainless handles, and the teaspoon handle broke off, as it was a long u-shaped wire rather than part of the spoons. I'm ordering more of these today. They're a little heavy, but just great

As part of my kitchen updating, I searched high and low for spice spoons that would fit into my new spice rack jars. These were the best I found either in stores or online. Well made and substantial in weight. They actually have inspired me to use more spices in my cooking!Update early August 2015:More than a year and a half later, I still really like these spoons. I have used them every day since purchase. They are extremely accurate, fit in my spice jars, clean easily, and still look great. Moving over to stainless steel from my previously mixed version of spoons was certainly a change point for the better in my progressing towards being a better cook.

I can't say enough about the perfect heft of these spoons! They're not your cheapo flimsy measuring spoons. Also, I love that the measurements are engraved/imprinted instead of just printed on. They're one solid piece of stainless steel, so there's no grit in a seam ... I assume these are machined spoons (though I don't recall ever *seeing* a seamed measuring spoon?). I also love that they're considerably longer than your average measuring spoon.About the only thing I don't like, and why I gave them four instead of five stars, is the ring they come attached to. I've used Tupperware spoons my whole life and really appreciate how easily I can grab each individual spoon I need, yet how they all stay together in the drawer. I had to take these spoons off the ring, or simply have to wash ALL the spoons every time I needed just one. They are VERY hard to get off that ring. I will be reading every single review to see if anyone has come up with a viable solution. The best I can think of right now is to buy one of those tiny circular office rings for paper (that come apart in the middle). If you have a better solution, please leave me a comment!! I would prefer not to let them stay loose in my drawer.As someone else mentioned, there is no 1/2 TBS. But, that's easily fixed by using the 3/4 tsp twice.

I bought these spoons so I could reach inside a regular jar and they work very well as they are thick enough so the 4 1/2 inch long handles above the spoon part are very sturdy. The 1/8 to 1 tsp spoons fits into my glass McCormick spice jars (1 1/4 inch diameter opening), but like I expected the 1 tbsp. is too large. I really liked that these spoons come in additional 3/4 tsp and 1/8 tsp sizes as it cuts down on the measuring needed and takes the guess work out of measuring only half of a 1/4 inch spoon. I had to get my husband to take off the sturdy ring that holds all the spoons together so I can use just one spoon at a time. The spoons wash up nicely, so I am very pleased with them and only sorry I did not get a set sooner. .

Bought for my chef fiance! He laughed and loves them lol.

These measuring spoons look great, but they don’t feel that quality. The edges are quite rough and if you are using them to scoop out something hard like solidified coconut oil, they do bend.
