Bookbax
I was given a Bookbax as a gift a couple of years ago, and hate to read a book without it. I wanted to give one to a couple of my friends, but was unable to find it anywhere until I came upon this online. I have purchased four and will likely buy more for friends in the future. Everyone I know who has tried one uses it all the time. It is perfect for reading in bed -- no hands required except for turning pages; it is perfect to read while eating -- no hands required except for turning pages, and it is perfect for reading while sitting in an easy chair. I don't have a Kindle, but I understand it works well with the Kindle and iPad as well.

A Great Buy!!
This paperback book holder is wonderful!! The arms with springs that hold the pages open are very strong and keep the book open nicely. I can hold my book lightly with one hand while sitting in a chair or use the little flaps on the back to stand it up while reading at a table. It's very small, and I hardly notice it's there. It can also be used as a page marker, and then it's always with the book. It works on small as well as large books (the first one I tried was 600 pages and it worked great). I've always wanted something like this, and I'm very glad I found it.

Cheap, weak, impractical, bookmark? kindle holder? useless.
I really wanted this to work for me and i even committed to giving it a worthy trial period, but, it is just a bad product. I am a college student and am always reading from paperbacks. I used this product for about 9 days. In the beginning it was rough. It was hard to get used to turning the pages and keeping the wings out and stuff, but i was determined to 'get the hang of it'. After 9 days, i got the hang of it, and even though i had muscle memory and good reflexes with the product, it still was really bad and impractical.Number one thing that was really bad, is that the wings do not lock into place! The pieces of plastic that stick out to hold the device up will just fold in on you at random times. Especially if you pick up the entire thing. They really should have made a locking mechanism for that.Number two is that it really isnt easy to turn pages, the device is a double spring system that works for both sides of the book holder and they correspond to the opposite sides. It might sound crazy, but it actually is crazy. Its not at all easy to use and i felt like a was doing some sort of martial art every time i changed pages. And finally, it isnt strong. It doesnt hold books in place strong and firm but they are always coming out of the little clamps. Its a cheap little product.Oh yeah, and i have no idea what they meant by a bookmark...its not a bookmark at all. And I have a kindle, and i have no idea how they claim that it is a kindle holder because it simply is not.I sent my product back and am going to get the bookgem book holder on amazon. I would advise that you check that out, its only a couple bucks more than this. Dont waste your money here!

It'll do.
I would say that it works but the mechanism for changing pages is a tad bothersome. Still, it allows my son to read while eating, and works as a bookstand. I would have just gotten a bookstand. It works well enough as a book holder, and helps decrease the fatigue from holding a book while in bed. Not sure it is worth the money.

Paperbax Book Holder
I was actually looking to get a couple more of my favorite desk book holders which are Fellowes Book Lifts, but I saw these and gave me the sense that I could read a paperback with only one hand, meaning any book the pages are going to move around and so on interrupting your concentration if you like to read holding the book up and away from you as I do.This stand does this. If you like to mark your text and read at the same time this can be a challenge because the upper back of the stand does not support the book, but you can easily grab it from on top to hold it so you can mark the passage.I do not often use it as a book stand for a surface, but you could. It is also really nice how it folds up and it is nice too the surface of the arms that actually hold the pages. This thing is really cool. Once you get used to how to release one side against the other, the pages turn easily. Furthermore, the arms do not extend to hold a huge number of pages, but you can use just a portion and it works fine in the way it supports the spine against the base of the holder. It is very well designed. It has made for me reading much more enjoyable as before, especially in bed. Plus I can keep the book in it for extended periods. It is really a great thing. I would never have expected that it would be as useful and helpful as it has turned out to be for me.

Bookbax: Hand-held Book Holder. Portable Book Stand.
I like this for what I bought it for, to hold my Kindle. It does a terrific job. The product is small and lightweight. I could see a problem, though, using it as a regular book holder as turning the page would seem awkward. I would purchase this product again.

Great for small paperbacks
Finally something that actually makes it easy to read my collection of "Murder She Wrote", etc. paperbacks, My hands are a bit deformed from arthritis so not having to hold the book makes my reading more pleasurable. This small book stand is not for larger paperbacks. I have other book stands for larger paperbacks and heavier books.
