Is this an exact fit or do i need to go up a size?

My medium fits well. I probably could have gotten a large and been fine as well. It did shrink a little. It really depends on how you like your sweatshirts to fit. If just for wearing around I’d say exact fit. For work or activities, I’d say size up.

What is the length of size large and does it shrink much?

It didn’t shrink. I have x large and it covers my bottom but not too long. I don’t know about the large, I gave it as a gift.

are the cuffs loose or tight fitting?

3 inch ribbing cuff. Definitely not loose...but, not necessarily tight. I can pull the sleeves up on my arms a bit. Hope that helps. It’s a great inexpensive sweatshirt.

Why is it hand-wash only??

It’s not hand wash only - I have washed in the machine several times and it is just fine.
