I love the weighted body and the 16" length - only ...
I love the weighted body and the 16" length - only negative is eyes don't close. A beautiful doll that should last as a much-used keepsake!Revised review: This was a Christmas present for my 3 year old granddaughter - less than 3 months after receiving the doll (which BTW, she loves) the arms are cut nearly off! There are 2 connected plastic discs that rotate the arms sewn into the body and the shoulder of the doll - while rotating arms seem a great idea, the cloth material that wraps around each rotating disc is not sturdy AT ALL and the disc appears to have cut through the material. There is no way that I can fix this without completely reworking/resewing the entire cloth body of the doll with my own material and reattaching head, arms, and legs. Even just hand sewing the arms directly to the body as stationary arms will not work because the discs cut the material right at the edge of the arm discs and there is no material left to attach. THE MATERIAL ITSELF IS NOT STURDY MATERIAL - the crotch area of the doll has a "run" in the material that looks like it could give way at any time! I paid over $60 dollars for a realistic doll for my granddaughter to play with throughout her childhood - she loved it and carried like a real baby (not slinging it around) and I am extremely disappointed!!!! I plan on attaching a photo after I visit the next time.

Beautiful doll
Got this for my 7 year old for Christmas and it quickly became the favorite doll in the house. It seems well made (I check the stitching after opening due to others' reviews). We have had no issues with tearing. The doll is beautiful with and without the headband. Is nicely sized and weighted so it feels real. The only con is that the thumb doesn't stay in the mouth very well. Other than that it's a great doll that we'd buy again in a heartbeat (note: I paid $35 for it; as of this writing it's listed at over $80. I wouldn't pay that price for a doll. Not sure why the huge hike).

I love her and so do my friends. Have bought 4
This makes the 4th of this doll I've ordered. I had one and gave to a friend's daughter. I bought one for a woman with lung disease, that I was taking care of. Bought a 3rd for another friend and this 4th is for me. The face looks real. If U have her lying on Ur bed with her thumb in her mouth and you walk by, you'd think she was a real baby. I love that she's weighted. She can wear preemie clothes. She's easy to cuddle with the soft "fat" body. Her thumb and bottle fit her mouth. So will a fake pacifier with the short stem. Or a real pacifier if you cut the nipple off and use clay. She's a bargain price for such a pretty doll with all the features I listed.

Lavender is cuter than pink (my opinion)
Sooo...I’ll review the lavender and pink in one go here. They’re clearly nice quality dolls. The body feels weighted and soft and pretty realistic. She sits nicely and doesn’t fall over. The details are painted nicely with glossier finishes on lips and nails. Nails could be done a little better on the realism scale but it’s not bad. They have pretty eyelashes and eyes.I ended up with two different because I was shopping and ordering for my mom to give to my daughter. I really loved Lavender and her face was what sold me over other brands. My mom wanted a baby that matched my daughter who’s blonde headed and blue eyed so I looked at pink and while I didn’t like the pink dress as much, she seemed to have the same face just with different coloring so I ordered her with the intent of returning the other. Now I have both side by side and the faces are significantly different. The photography on pink is definitely OFF. Looking back, I can kinda tell that the face is different in some of the side and back shots, but the face looks fuller than it really is in the forward shot. Pink’s eyes have a deeper wrinkle underneath and the cheeks are less full. They jut out a bit and have more of a jowl. Lavender has super sweet realistic full baby cheeks that are full up to the eyes and down to the chin.I’m not going to dock a full star on pink for this because it’s subjective and still a much sweeter face than most of the baby dolls I found while I was shopping, but Lavender has a prettier, sweeter face in my opinion. We haven’t had her long but I don’t think we’re going to have a durability issue. I noticed the fabric is different on the body of some of the older reviews, so I think they have maybe addressed the areas prone to ripping. Time will tell and I’ll update if we have issues. We did have a faulty snap on our pink so I’m exchanging with amazon but this is a pretty minor issue. The blanket that comes with them isn’t impressive and we have some swaddling blankets that we used when our daughter was newborn that I’d rather keep and her use with her babies. They’re much prettier and softer and keepsakes anyway. The bottle is obligatory and nothing wrong with it, but I’ll probably buy a little set that has the liquid inside that’s cuter and more substantial. All in all, I’m disappointed because the pink isn’t exactly what I was expecting, but overall pleased as they’re both very realistic and not creepy looking at all, and my 2 year old baby girl loves her (we only gave one) and has carried around and rocked and “read” to her a bunch in the few days she’s had it. The lavender is just as pictured and a really beautiful doll. I may end up keeping her just because she’s so pretty. Maybe I’ll save her for another occasion. Just know they are different and it doesn’t show well in all the pictures. The Caucasian baby has a thinner face, which is dumb because all my Caucasian babies had sweet fat cheeks. I also prefer the lavender dress but that’s just me.

Pretty in Purple
PURCHASED FOR: Me, 40 yr old baby doll lady (I hate cats)DATE: 4-20-16PRICE: $77.36THE YAYS1. The weighted body2. Soft vinyl skin3. Thumb sucking capability4. Fits into premie and newborn clothes5. Fabric on limbs only goes a short way down (major pos)6. Her face is absolutely beautifulTHE NAYS1. It's near impossible for the thumb to remain in the mouth.2. The ethnicity of this baby is confusing (the photo vs. the actual product)3. The enclosed clothing PILLS so terribly it becomes practically worthless in a very short period of time4. I am so sorry to say this but per my niece - she is SO ugly without the bow (I have to agree ...)5. She should come with a diaper.
