I bought it for the cute cows on the side, but this really is a nice butter dish, Not that butter hangs out too long in my house, but this does cut down on >some< of the oxidation which leads to that rancid taste. This is because the gasket on the lid makes a very good seal. And did I mention the cute cows?

We love to make our own butter and this is the perfect container for it. It would also be great for two sticks of butter. Definitely a new favorite in our house.

This butter dish is exactly what I’ve been looking for. From prior experience I have a feeling the silicone ring won’t hold up but I don’t really need that anyway. It’s really pretty and the perfect size for the blocks of butter I buy.

The tub is strong and dense enough not to worry about easy breakage. Seal on the lid is nice and snug. I leave it out on the counter. Easy to put in microwave, if necessary. I is larger than I expected! It will easily hold 3 sticks of butter, probably one of the blocks of butter that is equal to 4 sticks. I guess I should have read the volume first.

This is so freaking cute. Love the gold cows. It is thick and nice quality. The only bad thing is the lid does not stay on all the way for some reason. One side is just always sticking up. Wish I could just get a new lid. Otherwise I love it!

Easy to remove lid - love the denseness of the ceramic - not cheap at all .. holds a pound of butter easily and love the silicone seal - all easy breezy to take off and clean ...looks so cute on counter top also!

I truly love this butter dish! Does a good job at sealing and keeping my butter fresh! Big enough that a lot of times I have 1.5 blocks in there easily! It is SO CUTE TOO! Easy to clean!

I bought this butter dish because of the secure lid. I really like that feature. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the size of it. It's huge and fits several sticks of butter.

Looks very nice, a bit heavy but that's expected from ceramic container. But it's not tall enough to fit the 1lb/454g brick of butter - you can place it in, but can't close the lid. The whole brick of butter is about 0.5" too tall.

Going to start with addressing other reviews saying it is slightly too short. The product advertises that it holds sticks of butter, which is about 1/4 of a Canadian brick of butter. This dish does hold the equivalent of two sticks. So if you cut your butter in half length-wise, that is what the product is intended to hold (can keep the other half in the fridge until needed later).On to the actual review. This butter dish is adorable, I love the pattern. The dish is sturdy and the silicone seal on the lid helps to keep air from getting in and spoiling the butter. Dimensions are as advertised. All parts are easy to clean. Would definitrly recommend to others.

Very cute and well made. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that it says holds a pound of butter which it does but the lid does not fit with a full bar in it. Would be excellent for the sticks of butter but not for the full pound. That's the only complaint. It's very well made and looks good.

Really cute. Easy to wash except I'm not sure if the lid can go in the microwave. It's a cute decor piece for my kitchen.

Nice product, looks good quality, lid fits well. The only complaint is the depth. It take a standard butter in length and width but not in depth. Can't get the lid shut secure. I'm slicing the butter into 2 halves and using 1 half at a time.
