Pride and Prejudice (Penguin Classics) Paperback – December 31, 2002

I had not read this book in over 20 years. I wanted to read it again and ordered this hard cover book. It is a pretty book with gold leaf, gold edging on the pages and a ribbon to mark your place.

I’ve watched the movie a hundred times, but I desired more story. I am glad I read the book as it is far more detailed and the characters are fleshed out more.

I don’t read a lot but I honestly loved this book! The characters are unique and the story was so interesting. Do keep in mind that this takes place during the regency period, so the language, and the way people communicated was different at the time. If you want to read this, take some time to read it privately, preferably out loud.

Good book, packing was fine but the product was damaged on the surface with minor abrasions, the book was partially warped but I straightened it out a bit. Some inner pages were wrinkled in, I put a comparison to two other penguin classics to show how this one came out the box.

Favorite book of all time.

This book completely held my attention from start to finish. It was a pleasure to see into the society and world of the past. The manners and customs are so changed in the world of today!At times the style of writing was so different that I had to reread a paragraph a couple of times to understand the meaning. I also looked up a lot of words that are no longer in common use. I found that a pleasant challenge.It is clear to see why this book has remained such a classic for these many years!
