Well worth the wait
This is a quality brush. It keeps it's shape and is great for washes, painting flowers and doing fine details. I was really impressed at it's capacity to hold paint. I recommend this brush because of it's versatility.

Surprisingly soft
I never had a Princeton brush before so I didn't know what to expect. It came with a plastic transparent protective bristle cap in a long narrow zip bag. The wooden body is slightly fatter and longer than a typical paintbrush, but feels good in my hand. After washing off the protective dried gel on the bristles, it felt soooooooo soft, almost luxurious, when I made a long stroke. Longer I use it in a session, softer it becomes, but never to the point where it's difficult to control it. Holds enough water to last a line across an A4 paper sheet. So far it's keeping its shape well whether wet or dry.The only possible con: it's soft enough to make me suspect that those into precision, straight lines or tiny details may struggle with it a bit I think it's possible to do those after some practice, but all in all,. I think it may be more suited to those into long loose/soft strokes, small-area washes, large flowers/plants or urban sketching. I'm liking it so far, which makes it a good buy in my books. For comparison's sake, I've uploaded a photo of four paintbrushes (from top to bottom):- Princeton Neptune 6- Van Gogh 191 Selected Filament 6 (Neptune is a little softer than this)- Artway 6 (Neptune is much softer than this)- Silver Brush Velvet 3000s 4 (Neptune is a tiny bit stiffer than this)And a quick sketch in watercolour (Paul Rubens 12), which I did with the Princeton Neptune brush 6.

Lovely quality bristles. Got the size 6 and the size 16 on an artists recommendation. Using as a complete beginner. Love it

Good brush
Good quality brush, however I don’t use it as much as I thought I would as the hairs as very floppy, I prefer brushes with a snap to them.

Looove
I'm new to painting, for now using gouache.First I bought some mixed media also from this brand, then some velvetouch (again same brand), when I bought this one at first panicked because it really holds tons of water, but after some strokes, really felt in love with its softness, gorgeous feeling and beautiful execution!

Terrific water color brush
The Neptune series holds water and paint beautifully and therefore allows you to lay down paint in the way you wish.

This Quill is not cheap, but it is a great value.
This is my first quill and I've found this one to be a wonderful tool in my bag. The synthetic squirrels fur performs extremely well, holding vast amounts of wash. I bought this small one just to see if I like the quill way of painting watercolor. I do. I will likely buy some larger ones.

Third best in the world
If you can't afford a Kolinsky, and even Aqua Elite is a bit pricey, get the Neptune. You win't regret it. This is my second #6, I bought it just in case something terrible happens to my other one because I don't want to be without it. As good as a rigger for fine lines, but thirsty enough for washes. For most small paintings this is the only brush you'll need.
