Effective and easy to use
I’d managed to break my car’s parcel shelf and couldn’t find any glue product that would bind to the dense hardened foam material of the shelf. Came across this product while looking for a solution to a different problem and now I think I finally have a durable repair to the parcel shelf. It was my first attempt so it’s not the prettiest, but it seems to have done the job.

Expensive, with limitations
Pretty good, but also very expensive for the quantity supplied. The uses are limited due to the temperature parameters. I bought it out of curiosity after seeing it on the Dragons Den TV show. I’d say it’s worth half the price.

It sets very quickly, doesn't stick and can't be dried.
I liked the idea of a reusable fix it so gave this product a try. The instructions recommend that you heat it in hot water, so the softened plastic comes out dripping wet and doesn't stick. I tried to dry it but I ended up with a towel coated in a sticky mess. I find it sets in seconds, so has to be worked very quickly and tends to look ugly because you can't shape it in time. I tried to use it to replace a rubber end cap but it just falls off because it is so rigid. I'm giving it 3 stars because it works reasonably well as a rigid, reshapeable plastic, but it is not a substitute for sugru because it doesn't stick and does not behave like rubber.

Amazing product, so many uses
I've been using fixits for a while now and can't believe how handy they are. I used to use sugru but not any more. Fixits are reusable and are much better value. It won't glue things together, it's not a glue, but they work so much better than tape and it's much stronger. Fabulous product, easy to use & reusable. Has become a home essential.

Total WASTE of money. USELESS!
Total waste of money as does not do as advertised! I saw the tv presentation of this and stupidly thought that since it got sponsored that the product must have some merit. Despite repeated attempts waiting for it to soften in boiling water to be pliable the wretched stuff never actually softens much and then goes rock hard and certainly non stick able before it can even be applies to item it was purchased to stick to! Doesn’t do anything near what it claims and is total waste. Even had other family and friend try to get it to do anything near what it is claimed to do. But no it doesn’t soften much and goes rock hard within seconds of removal from hot water.

Satisfactory, but only just
After several attempts, I did manage to complete the repair I was carrying out using fixits, but it isn’t easy to work with. The water has to be straight out of the kettle to melt the fixits, which makes it hot to handle. But it cools and hardens so quickly once out of the water that it’s very difficult to mould to the shape you want. Also, once it starts to harden it stops being sticky and doesn’t adhere to the surface you’re working with. I used a small plastic bowl to melt the fixits in and it melted onto the bottom of the bowl, which proved impossible to remove and I had to throw the bowl away. So although it produced the result I wanted, I wouldn’t use it again in a hurry. Next time I think I’d be better off with a glue gun, or even chewing gum!

Handy gadget to have
I needed to repair a photo frame which I really liked and didn't want to throw it out. I tried glue - and that didn't work. So I saw these Fix-its and decided to give them a go. They begin to go hard again very quickly after they have been softened, so you have to be fast. But then you can soften the piece of Fix-it in hot water again and again till you're happy with the fix. It took me 2 attempts to get it right and by the next day, it is really set hard.
