Rhoda of Cyprus - A Story of the Early Church

I liked this story because it creates a story around a person who was believably part of the early birth of the Christian church and the uncertainties that they were faced with as the church was organized, but people disagreed on the meaning of the words of Jesus. The idea of a young person questioning their faith and facing hardships is not lost on the current generation.

Rhoda of Cyprus is a wonderful book for young girls (and older women too). The story is about a young girl in Biblical times who learns to value Christian principles as she falls in love with one of Christ's followers. It's interesting and fun to read, like all of Gladys Malvern's historical romances. I highly recommend it.

Read this historical book as a young teenage and was delighted to see it back in print.

I couldn't put this book down.

Lovely book. My 10 year old daughter enjoys each one! I have only read Behold the Queen but thought it was good.
