PILOTPrecise V5 RT Refillable & Retractable Rolling Ball Pens, Extra Fine Point 0.5 mm, Assorted Colors, Pack of 12

This is my favorite grading pen, and I’ve been in the classroom 23 years. Here’s why:1) ultra-fine point makes it easy to fill in grades in those tiny boxes if you still have a paper grade book2) quick dry means it won’t smear on a hall pass or in your plan book3) waterproof, which means you can highlight across it4) vibrant colors: I grade and take notes in purple and green. The refills aren’t available for purple and green, but I keep a supply of these pens on-hand. The red is nice and bright, and black and blue are high-contrast & easy to read5) comfortable! It’s the most comfortable pen that I have found to use, while still FEELING like a pen, not an orththotic writing implement.

The 12 colors include black, navy, blue, turquoise/aqua, red, orange, dark green, light Lime Green, pink, purple, yellow, and burgundy.I've been using these pens for years, and when I saw that I could purchase the entire pack that includes all 12 colors on Amazon, I jumped on it. These pens are really hard to find in all colors.The precise needlepoint makes it easy to write on thin lines and small spaces. They include a comfortable grip that as long enough for most hand sizes to hold the pen comfortably. They are clicker pens, so you don't have to worry about losing the cap like the cap version of this pen.I saw a couple of reviews of people complaining that they're dark green pen did not work. I tested all of my pens, as you can see in the picture my dark green pen works fine. All the colors work perfectly. I did find though that the aqua color seem to make a little bit thicker lines than the rest of them.I know that pilot has a lot of gel pens in their lineup, and I have come across some people thinking that the Pilot Precise V5 RT pens are gel pens, but they are not. Personally, when I write with this pen I feel like it's the closest thing you can get to a fountain pen, but in a needlepoint. It's more of a free-flowing style of ink, but it doesn't bleed, it's not messy, and it creates these really nice thin lines.Also if you're wondering what the difference between these and the needlepoint Pilot FriXion pens, like the Synergy or the Clicker pens, it's that the Pilot FriXion pens are gel pens, and they're erasable. These Pilot Precise V5 RT pens are not erasable nor are they gel pens. These are their original needlepoint pens.

I love these pens. They are my absolute favorite. They don't bleed, are perfect sized and the amount of colors you get is worth the money. They dry fairly quickly but there is a chance of smudging depending on the paper. They write very smoothly and clearly. I think the only color I don't like is the yellow because it's hard to see but if you're using it for coloring purposes it works great. You can get refills for the black, the medium blue, and the red. I haven't been able to find refills for the other colors. Beyond that, these are still my favorite pens and I love journaling with them.

I am always a fan of pilot pens, these are especially my favorite because I prefer thin writing. They are super crisp but no need to write using pressure, these just glide nicely. Would recommend.

This is the best pen that is inexpensive enough that you wouldn't mind losing. Can get a 12 pack on sale for about $12-15. Writes perfectly, doesn't skip, doesn't catch on the paper. Very Fine point. So good, my office is now hooked on these pens.Writes better than Energel fine points and the basic G2 platform.

Love all the colors and they are the best pens!! Last a long time. Will buy again!!

Have always liked and used uniball since 1997 while in college. Never bled or smeared while writing essays or notes.

I have favored these pens for a number of years now. I searched for pens that would make a lot of writing easier and was given several suggestions. I so thank the person who suggested these years ago! I tried them and found what I was looking for. I like fine tips, I like needle point, I like smooth writing. Glad to see more colors.The only downsides of these pens are: 1) they smear a little when using a highlighter over the ink and 2) I have not seen refills in all the colors of pens. Refill packs of 2 for each color would be good. Still gave these pens 5 stars.
