You can't even imagine what this smells like until you open the bottle. Worse, a dosage is four of these capsules so I try to get them in my hand and swallow them as quickly as possible without breathing through my nose. Yes, it's that bad. It actually works pretty well, but I can't say it's more effective than a 4mg dose of time-released melatonin.

Good valerian root, this is my second order, and I take it everyday. You know it’s good because that valerian wet garbage smell hits you hard. So the flavor and scent are terrible, but that’s exactly what you want in a good valerian root capsule. Calming and surprising easy on the stomach.

Studies have been mixed on the efficacy of valerian root as a sleep aid. As such, I won't punish the seller if this doesn't work for me - if you take medication of any kind, you should do your own research. The bottle came with standard packaging and arrived on time. However, I MUST WARN EVERYONE ABOUT THE SMELL. Holy hell it is awful. I can't describe it. My sense of smell isn't particularly acute, but every time I take a pill I can smell it. It's almost noxious.

I love sundown products however, this formula is not assisting/keeping us sleep.
