The Influential Product Manager: How to Lead and Launch Successful Technology Products

I could see this book being very attractive to a non-technical reading looking to enter into a technical world where order needs to be created to understand the processes. But coming from a very technical background I am used to reading manuals that tell you to do this to get that and it is up to you to figure out when you need to do this and not that. So to me the book seems to drone on a bit rather than getting to the point at times. More times than I would have liked. But I love listening to the author and he does have some great webinars/seminars, I would love to try his training at some point. It would be even better to go through a real world product life span process, using the concepts laid out in this book.

The best comprehensive Product Management Book this far.Ken Sandy's book the Influential Product Manager is probably the best Product Management book in the market right now. It was released just the other week.I appreciate the book since it turns the strategic thoughts into actionable items.The book is easily read with a smooth language. But what makes it stand out is the usability of the book. It is filled with lists, tips, and examples that make it easy to USE the book.

I love how Ken provides extensive insight but also gives pragmatic strategies for practical application and execution.

I had the pleasure of reading this book in its entirety and am impressed with how logically detailed this book gets regarding product teams. Whether you're an aspiring new graduate trying to break in to the PM, Consulting, or Strategy industries or an established PM with experience, there's definitely something here for you. The principles outlined in this book helped me land a management consulting role!

This book breaks down each stage of the lifecycle of a product and explains what a good product manager needs to do at every one of these stages. This book is full of examples that are easy to understand, but resemble some of the most complex yet common problems a product manager faces.

What Ken does best, however, is explaining, with heart, how important empathy is when building products and connecting with key stakeholders and users. There are so many rich takeaways from this book, and it's perfect whether you're a seasoned PM or a college student interested in exploring the space.

I've read books like Cracking the PM interview, and though they help you tailor your answers to commonly asked questions, they don't really go deep into the thought process behind your answer or the interviewer asking them, making your answer seem more robotic. This book is very insightful and helps you understand the ins and outs of product management with great detail and examples. I enjoyed reading it (it's an easy read!), especially the short stories and visuals that helped structure the concepts. I started to understand the processes that go into each task a product manager has and how they related to my own experience, and now I feel more prepared to answer interview questions with a more natural approach!

In realtime, no one reports directly to the product manager. By influencing only we can collaborate and deliver a high quality product. This book gave great insights on how to lead the product team and launch the technology products.
