It works
Patched a pair of pants I melted on my motorcycle. Still holding 2 months later. I did put a patch on both sides of the hole to make it hold the shape better. Patched my shoes too.

I’ve used this to repair my jacket, pants and a tent. It’s been a few months and it’s holding up great.

repairs outdoor fabrics in a hurry
I like how Tenacious Tape sticks to fabrics without ironing, and then I can decide if I need to sew it to make sure that it survives the washing machine. I always prepare the area to be patched by wiping it with rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol and then letting it dry. After cutting the patch of Tenacious Tape, I cut the corners to round them. I cut a small patch to cover a hole in nylon track pants. After several washings, the edges pulled up, so I sewed the edges of the patch to the pants. I used Tenacious Tape to repair a down jacket that "exploded" in the washer. Because I like to repair clothes once--not over and over again, I sewed the edges of the patches to the jacket lining (picture). I also used Tenacious Tape to repair the Burley Bike trailer cover (other 2 pictures). Again, I sewed the edges down while the cover was stretched over the burley frame. IF you decide to sew the patch, you will need a bottle of rubbing alcohol to wipe the needle after it gets gummy from the Tenacious Tape glue.I won't go back to iron on patches for nylon or outdoor fabrics! I always have a roll of Tenacious Tape in my sewing kit!

Works very well, but you have to round the corners
I bought a brand new coat and within a week it somehow got a big rip in it. I bought this tape and cut several pieces out of it. I covered the rip with one strip and then used the other pieces to create a simple stripe design. I repeated the design on the other side of the coat. I did this to make it look more like the stripes were meant to be there rather than looking like as much like a patch. I used the black tape on a black coat for a tone on tone style so that they wouldn't be quite as noticeable as if I had used a contrasting color. They don't show up as much in real life as it appears in the photo, it's a little more subtle. It came out well enough that I will still wear the coat. After all, it is a puffer, so it is casual and not something I'd wear with a nice outfit. The tape works pretty well, although you are limited in design somewhat by the need to round the corners. If you didn't, a sharp point would be more likely to begin to peel. I highly recommend the product since it kept my coat from going to the garbage pile!

Saved my Down Filled Winter Coats
This tape works really well. You have to follow directions and round off the straight edges for a good seal. I pressed it on and rubbed it in. You don’t need to apply heat to make them stick. Leaving it squared can cause it to peel off in the corners, so you do want to round corners. I have a black Tommy Hilfiger Down filled long coat and a black Columbia down filled long coat. The only problem with both coats was the material on both. I used to walk my German Shepherd and Golden Retriever with other peoples large dogs that needed exercise. Problem with shell material on both coats is that the others dogs toenails would slice through the material (polyester) like butter if they just jumped on me for a hug. Both coats were perfect for frigid winters even below zero temps. Looking for coats to replace what I have would have cost big bucks. I now have a 1 year old German Shepherd. Her favorite temps are frigid. Both my coats keep me warm enough to be outside in freezing temps for long walks and play in snow and rain. This tape made them look new again. One coat is darker black than the other, but the tape blended in on both. They looked trashy with the slices and holes but look really good now. I patched everything on both and still have tape left, if my new Shepherd does any damage. The cost of the tape roll versus 2 brand new coats at a minimum of over $300 to replace them is a no brainer. I didn’t like the prices I was seeing, even for inferior coats. I have an olive green North Face puffy coat also. If anything happens to that, I will look for olive green tape. Since my dog is a winter dog, I have a lot of winter coats, so if one does get wet on outside, I can put on another to take her out again and again, while the other one dries. They love to be outside in winter. I hate paying full price, so I normally wait for really good sales, but was stuck with having to look at full prices or getting this tape. You can’t see the patches and they look perfect. I was trying to find coats with a cloth shell, but they were so expensive and the two winter coats I have for walks and play, are perfect for frigid weather, both below knee length, which keeps me warm for walks or play anytime. Tape cuts well with sharp scissors, if your scissors are dull it doesn’t cut well. I haven’t washed them since I put the tape on, but it looks like they should go through wash okay. The tape seems to be the right thickness, not so thick it stands out, it lays flush to the coat and is easy to apply. It doesn’t look like they are patched. I’m happy.

It worked well.
Someone must have wanted only 10" and then sent it back The packaged looked a bit messy but I just thought it was because it came in an envelope bag. Well when I opened it up there was only 10 left". The roll was held close with a plastic clip. I needed to repair the tear so I didn't have time to send it back. Just a shame that I had to pay for 20" and only got 10".

Easy to install
This was super simple to "install".The price was much cheaper then a new $200 coat so i'm pleased to have this option. For me, I was a bit displeased to see how visible this was on the coat, but understand there isn't something that would be a perfect solution. I'll update this review after a wash of the coat to see how well it holds up, but even if it falters, the price point was enough that I'm not concerned.
