Good for the price. Get them if you need them.
My father busted out a set of hemostats while we were working on a project together. They were thick and robust, and I had to have one. I did a quick search on Amazon and ordered this set of 2. They had pretty good reviews. While the actual jaws seem somewhat precise, they were skinny and very rough in construction compared to his. I think they will be fine for what I might use them for, but they aren't high quality.You know what? I just looked at the price I paid a couple weeks ago. Go ahead and buy them for 8 bucks. Just with a price check to remind myself, 3 star to 4.

When I bought these hemostats I planned on just using them for hook removal, and at the price I didn't expect them to be any good for much else... I was pleased to find that they are just as good as any of the others I have owned in over 50 years of fishing. They are sturdy and strong with a good solid locking mechanism. Well finished and polished well. Very pleased with this purchase!

You get what you pay for.
You get what you pay for. These are definitely not the highest of quality but will serve the purpose(s) for which I purchased them (DIY projects, general household use). One of the 5-inch and one of the 8-inch clamps would not stay closed because the teeth would not mesh together. I had to slightly bend the clamp handles to correct this. In general, the teeth on all four clamps that I bought don’t mesh together very well. If I had to do it again, I would definitely not purchase again.
