Many other arms will work, no question. But beware how many reviews mention won't hold their size monitor or one adjustment won't hold position (usually tilt) and you'll quickly see you're rolling the dice with most of them. I did all the scrolling and review reading/research and it was either spend 3 times the cost or get this one. I think the pole style configuration scares some people off, but don't let that be you. This thing is solid, easy to assemble and holds my 34" ultrawide without difficulty. Attaches solidly to the desk top edge (didn't try the through the hold style). Easy to adjust, though the set screws are "stiff" so takes a bit of effort. Was so impressed bought a second for my 27". Works perfect in my setup and could not be happier for the price.

Still holds up well with decent range of motion. It's easy to adjust the tension as well.

Very heavy duty, easy to install and looks amazing! I like that the gas strut is adjustable. You can configure this in several different ways. It frees up so much space on my desk.

Excellent product. Been using these Monitor mount with my 32" monitors (~20 lbs maybe a bit more) and no problems

The quality of the product is good but not excellent. The cable system is of low quality. Ajustability is average.

I use this on an LG 45 inch monitor and have no issues. Moves how I need to and hold the monitor well with no sagging or vibration. Get is set up and adjust to your needs and it will do the job. Can spend more but this does what it should!

I wanted to get a monitor stand for me laptop monitor extension.I had to do a little retrofitting to make this work. But once I got it setup my desk functionality was much better. The desk mount is sturdy, weigh enough to hold my monitor, saved desk space, and after watching a few videos I leaned all the ways it can be adjusted.So far so good (also used the clamp method so I ddnt have to drill through my desk at home)

I did the install myself, the only tool i needed was my drill because I needed to do the non-clamp-like connection. It was simple, and I believe that anyone can do it assuming you need to clamp like install, or anyone who has a drill and can drill straight down can install it. All tools needed (except drill) were included in the packaging. The directions are easily followable, images are easily readable.I used it to mount a small TV, and i move it to where I want it to be positioned to watch and then move it back against the wall for storage when not in use. I have not noticed any stability issues, though it is a tv not a computer so I expect there might be differences there.I got mine as a "barely used" or returned one, and it works perfectly, all pieces included. I would recommend measuring how high/low you want to be able to move it, I thought mine would be plenty tall, and while it is perfect for me at the highest setting, if it were much shorter I would have needed to return. Not the fault of the product, just me thinking I knew how much height I would need.
