This case is great and while I want to rate it 5 stars, it lacks in one area and that's the holster clip. The design is fundamentally flawed.There are 4 pieces in this set; the front & back piece, the outside and then the holster clip. My main purpose for purchasing this was my wife broke the screen on her phone and this one looked like it would take a beating. When I got it in hand it appeared to be true and so my wife began her journey of getting it on her phone. After 30 minutes she handed it to me and asked me to give it a go.After 10 minutes, I had finally gotten the outer shell to open enough to get the phone inside. I had to use a small knife to pre the hinge pieces apart to get it to separate. Not a problem but something that should be easily done with finger nails. Next I slipped the phone in and boom, it really felt protected. Then came the outside. The silicone outer ring or rubber, which ever it was fit snug and felt good. Then I put the holster piece on. This snapped in snug as well.I handed it to my wife who immediately tried to turn it on... nope the holster covers the entire back. She tried to remove it from the holster but it was wedged in so tight you would think it was meant to stay that way. I finally pried them apart. She looked at me and said "Yeah I don't want that on my phone ever."I handed her the phone and she's been happy ever since.Pro's: Sturdy case design, screen protection, phone won't break if droppedCons: Holster is hard to get off, case is hard to open, makes the phone gigantic

This is a good case and better than the cheapo cases.

I've been using otter box for my highend phones/ tablets exclusively for years. I love the protection they provide, never had a cracked screen or water damage on and device I've had an otter box on. This one however I returned as it was way too bulky and so heavy it hurt my wrist. I needed a case for my new V20 after my Note was stolen and without question went to otterbox (on Amazon because well they are leas expensive and fast free shipping with prime) this was the only option available for my phone, even though I prefer more color options and the thinner commuter series I got it anyway for the piece of mind the brand has continued to provide me. I read the reviews with complaints on the size and took a chance since I do have a defender series on a tablet that is not unpleasantly bulky. Unfortunately ( for me) this case turned out to be far too cumbersome and uncomfortable to hold with frequent one handed operation on a fairly large sceen. The v20 is slimmer and ligher than my note 3 was which I had a commuter series on but after adding this case it felt far bigger and heavier and actually left my wrist sore. I would however encourage those that need extreme protecton to absolutely get this case, it provdes supreme durability and a built in screen protector. For those working in the elements, construction, auto repair or drop your phone alot it's perfect and even has an impressive well built holster. If I had more pants with belt loops and didn't transport my phone by putting it in my bra or work in an office setting I would have found this convenient a major benefit for how well built it is. My rating is based on usability for my own personal phone habitat and overall design.

This is a very good case that actually protects your phone. I'm only rating it 4 stars because it's too big & bulky to use with a Qi wireless charger (but who knows, maybe it's not the OtterBox's fault, maybe it's the Qi maker's fault). It looks really clean and doesn't get fingerprinted up after heavy use. After 6 months of use, it still looks and holds up great, and it's still protecting my phone. I like that the outer case plastic is a little bit rubberized for good grip and deep black style, but it's not so rough that it gets stuff sticking to it. It's really easy to wipe with a damp cloth or wash the whole case in soapy warm water (take off the phone to soak)! ;).One thing is that it's not easy to take the case off the phone. It has the hard outer shell that fits around the softer silicone material. It fits together very snug, which is really good because it protects the phone, but it's not easy to get apart. Thing is that if the case was easier to take off the phone, then you'd probably give up some stability and protection.

Bought this again because of the brittleness of the plastic which broke after wanting to remove the whole phone to clean up the screen which this otterbox cannot prevent the dust from getting in. The plastic catch clip broke. They could have designed using a spring metal clip base.The rubber grip covering was below an ok quality. It can however leave scratch marks after some use. It also looses its grip on the plastic shell after some.time. For the scratch marks you can remove by rubbing the rubber grip with just your finger. No chemicals needed at all to remove it. But for the deep cuts one I guess you are better of buying a newer case. It pass reasonable drop test but not the heavy drop. Price drop now. So a good time to buy and keep some spare. For like me I have 3units of the LGV20 and not planning yet for an upgrade to the LGV30 plus. Hopeful if otter can make it dive proof.

OtterBox has been the only case that gives me worry free use of my cell phone. Sure, it is bulkier than other cases and not sexy looking, but it's designed to protect the cell phone investment, and it does a great job at that. I preferred my own screen protector, so I ripped the provided plastic one off without any problem. The buttons won't be pressed accidentally, as you need a purposeful press to activate them. The charge port has a strong cover over it to keep dirt out. The texture of the case provides a great grip when holding it. I don't use the belt clip at all as the phone can still fit in my back pocket, but the short time I did, the phone locked positively into the holster and, again, required a purposeful action to remove it. I've dropped my phone a number of times in this case and didn't even gasp about potential damage...it always resulted in 100% protection!

The case is good, the big problem is the fact that the screen protector is not sealed on the phone, so it's very difficult to type or use the touch screen properly. I returned it for that reason. Disapointed

This case would be better with a real screen protector and not a thin sheet of plastic.Otherwise does the job.. but looks gross after a month or so with oils and skinflakes built up around the screen.

I think it protects well. But, it's pretty large and clunky. I would take it off, except then I drop my phone, reminding me why it's there. I got rid of the screen protector as suggested by others, and just left an adhesive protector on.

The case itself is good, but the fitment between the screen protector and the phone display could definitely be better. I wouldn't care if it was a $15 dollar case. But it was close to $50. So I expected better quality.
