Decent product, does exactly what it says it will.
I bought this phone holder so that I could use Google maps for Sat nav whilst driving and also charge the phone at the same time. Fitted onto my air vent in my qashqai and at first it didnt feel very secure and i thought it was going to fall out but after driving around for a bit I found that it did seem to have secured itself well enough to be stable whilst driving. I put my phone into it and the arms close around the phone reassuringly. It doesnt move around too much whilst driving which im happy with and it charges at a decent rate. I can be at 30% then drive for around 40 mins and almost be at 100% by the end of the journey. This might not sound fantastic but some chargers are much slower than this. When the arms of the holder close they actually close onto the Volume down rocker switch on my phone. But luckily they dont grip so tight that they are actually pressing the button down, but the button does get blocked so that i couldnt actually use it if I wanted to (which I don't so that is ok). I would say there is a little room for improvement for this device in the way that it attaches to the car and the adjustment (tilting, rotating, angling the phone etc) but these are minor niggles and the product ultimately does the most important things that I wanted it to do and does it well. so im happy to give it 5 stars.

A genuinely, surprisingly well-built Chinese product. For now...
This Phone Holder made by Auckly does everything it should well.It arrives in actually well thought out packaging, which is important. It gives you their first indication that they actually care in their product.Instructions are easy to understand.Position your Holder. It arrives with its own 12V Charger and wire that connects to the underside of the holder. There is a release button on the lower left of the holder. Place your Phone on the holder. Turn on the vehicle and the Holder should automatically clamp your phone and initiate wireless charging. I have a Samsung S22 Ultra (a very large phone), clamp is capable a secure even on cobbled roads, twisty corners, over potholes etc. .The only negative, which is a minor one, now we approaching winter the plastic hardens and there is more vibration than in the Summer. But honestly that is me nit-picking. I may change position of holder from dashboard to windscreen to help reduce vibration.Regardless of the good build quality, I'm not sure how long this will last. It does state it has a 10 year Warranty, something I doubt. Especially as the QR links just take me to back to the Amazon site. All I can say if it breaks, maybe Amazon will assist? But probably not..Overall, with 6-month usage, I'm so far very happy with the product and for the cost of £20 is extremely good value, if it continues to be a sturdy product and the warranty exists.

Incapable of consistent charge.
The media could not be loaded. EDIT: The following review was written while using a pixel 6 pro which at the time had a bug in the "pixel stand" application which was the root cause of this issue. Deleting the app restored xharging ability. Though other wireless chargers at the time still worked OK, even with the bug.As a phone holder, this works fairly well. Applying the unit is a straightforward process, though the fastener that tightens the clamp mechanism leaves a pretty bad sting in your fingers because of the force required to secure the unit. Once secured, the only way its falling off is if your dashboard falls apart, they did a really good job on making sure the unit stays attached. The same can be said for the ball-joint that allows you to position your phone to point in various directions: once tightened, it isn't moving. You can also slacken the ball joint a little so you can reposition the face's direction as you please, and it still retains position while driving. Impressive stuff. The motorised clamp that holds the phone on the face-plate of the unit is also a strong point. I've never had my phone fall out on even the bumpiest of drives. nice touch to have the release button on either side of the device. The problem with this device, like many of it's type, is the actual charging technology itself. while the product page on amazon states compatibility for various devices across multiple brands, it fails to function with mine. My Google Pixel 6 pro randomly cuts in and out of charging while on this pad, even though it should be supported and my device does work on other wireless chargers without issue. This is also while being plugged into a QC3.0 charger.other than that it makes a decent but expensive phone folder, so that will have to do. I just hope this company does more testing when deciding what phones are actually supported, or do better quality control if mine is defective. If I were buying this again, I'd make sure it charges consistently and at the correct speed (some apps can measure this) then if it behaves weirdly, return and look elsewhere. weird charging behaviour like this could damage your phone battery, so best be careful. Generally though, just be cautious when buying kit like this, as the results always vary, and its not worth throwing caution to the wind and ruining your phone.
