Great quality pyx. It can hold up to 10 hosts. Looks beautiful and has been a worthwhile purchase. I would totally buy this again. If I would add anything it would be a small felt bag or a burse.

My mother needed a pyx to deliver holy communion to someone homebound. She had been borrowing one from the church and wanted her own. You can find everything on Amazon!! There were many to choose from but this looked pretty and is affordable. It's a 1-button push-to-open box which is a nice feature. Product arrived quickly and was well packaged. Thank you for offering this product and yes, I would recommend it to others in need of one. By the way, when ordering, the site recommended a leather pouch ("medium strap burse" - not 'purse') to buy to go with this. That didn't fit the pix so that will be going back, but that's a separate review and has nothing to do with this product - just an FYI in case you're ordering this & are considering the burse as well.

The kid pops open easily and it is a roomy compartment so reaching in with your fingers and grabbing the host out is simple.

As others have mentioned, the lock does not completely lock. When you close the lid, it pops back up again but it does remain closed. It serves its purpose and the price was great.
