Smile Paperback – February 1, 2010

My daughter picked this book up and didn't put it down until she has read the entire book! My daughter hated to read prior to this book. She reads all the time now thanks to this book. Great narrative, authors writing is great for young children and the storyline very clever! My daughter was also heavily educated about teeth hygiene and how to take care of your teeth also what happens when you don't take care of your teeth. Great book!

Smile is a super fun read thats perfect if you enjoy stories that feel real and relatable. It’s Rainas own story about her middle school years, dealing with dental drama and the ups and downs of growing up.The artwork is charming and captures all those awkward, exciting moments of being a teenager. Raina’s story is both funny and touching, making it easy to connect with her struggles and victories. Whether you’re a fan of graphic novels or just want a great story. Smile is definitely worth picking up.

I love the fact that the story is based on Raina Telgemeier dental problems, and it makes think how it would feel if I were Raina point of view. My favorite part of the book is on page 108, where she's showing her friends her fake teeth are attached on to her real teeth with an elastic band and how the band slides of her teeth and her friends scream. I would say Smile is an over all good book

This book is about a girl that is in middle school that breaks her teeth and has multiple problems with her teeth. What I liked about the book was the story and how it developed over the years. and how at the end it comes to a good ending. What I also liked was that the book was simple and easy to read and I think it was age appropriate. I have one issue with the book and that was how much blood it shows that part makes the book a little scary. I thought the character was kind and had perseverance for when she broke her teeth and had to go to the dentist a lot but she pushed through and eventually got her teeth fixed. I can relate to the character in a way that I broke my teeth once and I had to get them fixed.

She loves this book.

This book is one of my favorites, it’s set in the early 90s and follows the progressing journey of orthodontic treatment.

Easy read

Good for school work. My son liked it and chose this one over others because of the good story. The cover is a good quality.

I like the book very much, but the book was a little blended but it’s okay and it was the best book I’ve ever read ☺️☺️
