Neat and easy to use sprayer
I have been using this sprayer for several weeks now, and it is the best one I have ever had. Its easy to fill, empty and clean. Its also easy to handle and everything stores away nicely.Would recommend to all.If you have stubborn weeds in your brickweave or patios, buy distilled white vinegar and apply it neat to the weeds on a dry day. Cheapest from Tescos in 500ml bottles at 39p each. Make sure it goes down to the roots as well as on the leaves and you will be surprised how effective it is. Dont have to worry about children or animals, or windy days when other deadly poisons can blow onto you, your pets and children or other plants. Give it a go!

Works fine, though you are paying for the name
There's a lot of sprayers out there but Hozelock seems a safe choice, and there's a range of spares and add-ons available. I like the separate fill (many require you to remove the pump mechanism to add water and chemicals). I am very glad I bought the extension lance, though: the one supplied is way short for easy, no stoop, targeting of weeds individually. I mean you would almost need to crawl to treat, say, weeds growing between paving stones where you want just a narrow spray along the gap. I didn't think much of the carry straps, fine from a single shoulder perhaps, but ruckstack style rather uncomfortable, but to be clear I usually just lug these things around with the pump handle in my left hand so hasn't damaged its usefulness. 7litres is the right size for medium-sized garden. You may rarely need to make up 5litres of solution (its max), but it is very irritating to have to refill, it works just as well if you only need 2l of solution on the day, and the sprayer is pretty good at accessing the last few drops. All in all, a decently made bit of kit, all of it durable seeming plastics and a safe choice - just a nagging feeling that with the cost of sprayer and essential extension lance piece, it has ended up quite an expensive item.

Brilliant and worth the extra investment
I got this for my allotment after going through a couple of cheaper models previously. I thought it would be a complete waste of money given the price. I was wrong. This is by far the best pump sprayer on the market (I've used several different makes and types). You can lock the hose so it sprays constantly and 20 pumps provides a good stream for a long time (my husband says the instructions said 23 pumpsasts 20 mins but I keep topping it up). The stream is good and powerful, in fact I found it too powerful to start with - we even pressure washed the windows with it. All in all a great buy and worth the extra money.

Very pleased
Having decided my very old 5L Hoselock sprayer had seen better days, I searched for a replacement. After looking at all the options and reading reviews I decided that the Hoselock Plus 7L 4707 was my best option. I looked at the dearer Pro version but decided it was not really necessary. Having taken on board the many comments on Amazon about the short lance, I ordered the lance extension at the same time.It arrived the next morning and as others had noted, the assembly instructions are not the best so went online to a Hoselock demo and this helped greatly. Simply search for the model and assembly instructions and look for thegardentoolshed. I would only say that the recommended 2.5 turns on the hose connection on the bottom of the sprayer was not enough and it required more to get it tight enough to stop leakage. The video shows how the supplied strap can be used on the shoulder or as a back harness and how to adjust the filler cap indicator. The 7 litre name like others is confusing as its max fill is 5 litres but I was aware of this and it is the capacity I wanted. I half filled it with water, gave about 28 pumps and released the trigger. The result was impressive. I should have replaced my around 30 year old sprayer some time ago. If this new one can do half as well I'll be more that pleased.

Worth the money
Having recently bought a cheaper sprayer I decided to pay a little more money and bought this one. This is a sturdy piece of equipment which seems like it will stand the test of time. Product is easy to assemble (I also bought the lance extension). Used it for the first time earlier and it works a treat. Nice idea having the separate filling hole so as you don't have to unscrew the plunger mechanism each time you need to fill up.Do yourself a favour, pay that little bit extra and get something to do the job properly.

Okay but not quite as sturdy as the original version.
Not as good quality of the old version I’m afraid. A cheap plastic pipe rather than the reinforced fitment they used to have. The real benefit is the tube now comes from the base so you don't waste any of the contents. There's a video you can watch on line to help you put the thing together which is more helpful than the instruction book included.
