Just what I needed
Easier to install with 2 people but managed to install without a helper. Place rubber in bucket of soapy water like dawn dish liquid. Leave one rail off at the end. Spray rail with soapy water. Feed rubber seal . You will have to pull excess rubber seal to make room for the last rail. Install last rail and pull excess in opposite direction to fit. You may have to trim seal and rail to fit. Decent quality. No directions were provided. Had to use plastic putty knife to pop seal back in in a few places. Would recommend.

Easy installation after I figured out how to attack the install!
This garage seal started out to be a real challenge. I initially started at one of the far ends of the installed channels. I sprayed the channels with Dawn/water and also soaked the seal in the same water mixture. I failed at about 4 feet of installed seal. It started falling out of the channels because of how it was hanging off the end. Today I decided to remove the end channel piece and start there with the seal. I was able to slide/push the seal past the other end with the length of the removed channel hanging down. Then I reinstalled the channel piece I had removed. It was then easy to pull the seal all the way to the end of the reinstalled channel. So easy. Took maybe 10 minutes to install the seal.

Longer than expected.
Like: easy to install; no instruction sheet but it was intuitive enough. Solid quality.Dislike: Actual length received was 17 foot, so I had to use a hacksaw to cut a foot off one of the rails. On the other hand, that’s better than being too short.

Great, but use self-tapping screws and dry lube
Purchased for a metal 16’ garage door. Start to finish, this took me about 45 minutes to install by myself. There are 5 aluminum channels. I used painter’s tape to temporarily secure each one to the bottom of the garage door which allowed me to make adjustments and ensure proper alignment from one channel to the next. I worked from both ends of my garage door and measured the gap in the middle, then measured and cut my last aluminum channel with a saw. With all the pieces aligned, I marked each hole onto my garage door with a permanent marker (in case of movement during screwing). Sure enough, a couple pieces moved as I was securing and I just moved them back over my marks. The kit comes with stainless steel wood screws. Instead of using them, I purchased 2” self-tapping metal screws and installed them with an impact driver. I then sprayed the whole of both aluminum channels and the rubber seal with dry lubricant. You can find this stuff at auto stores and home improvement stores. Non-greasy, but lessens friction. I aligned the seal and slowly worked it into the channel. You have to keep it as aligned as much as possible when sliding it in otherwise it’ll bind up on you. As I worked some in, I’d work it toward the middle to the opposite end. Got it worked all the way to the opposite end, then went another 6” just to make sure that if there was tension released, it wouldn’t stretch back. I cut off the spare seal on both ends. Done. Tip: unroll the seal and let it sit open for a couple days to lose some of the shipping bends; mine still had bends during install, just be patient and work it in.

Take your time, with a helper . It works
Seals Great! easy to install with a helper.! I had to remove the lower portion of one rail so I could slide the seal onto the metal support. Install one section at a time and with a helper slide the rubber onto the metal track about one inch beyond that track. Start the rubber on the new track then secure that track being careful to align with the last track . Then with help slide the rubber onto the track about an inch beyond the track. And repeat until the last track which has to be cut to fit. Enjoy.

So easy....
Quality product, easy to install and I do recommend 2 people. 1 to hold rail and 1 to do the screwing. Comes with screws for wood but I don't see why it cannot be used on metal doors, just need your own metal screws. Would definitely buy again !!!

after 40 years of small dents and seal wear
I install on my 12x12 rear door after using 5 pound mallet to repair dents, I had no problem installing seal, everything came in kits. I used dawn soap mix with water in spray bottle to wet seal to help slide in easier, took close to 30 minutes

Not for the armature installer
Attaching screws are only useable on wood doors. If you have a metal door avoid the frustration and purchase self tapping screws before you start. Works quite well once its up and appears like it will be durable. Installed several months ago.
