The Bible for Little Ones

I love this book and often buy it as a gift when babies are born among family and close friends. The pictures are beautiful and the book is sturdy. I hear that little ones enjoy this very much as soon as they are old enough to have interest in board books. I have bought many copies of this one and also some of the other children's prayer books / religious books by Maite Roche. This particular book is appropriate for any Christian parent who desires a "first Bible" for a very young child. It's important to be aware that some of Maite Roche's books have maybe just one page or one sentence that is specifically Catholic, which Catholic parents would appreciate but not necessarily for all Christians, for example, the Maite Roche book, "My FIrst Bedtime Prayers" I would reserve for Catholic families, and some are quite explicitly Catholic including "My picture book of the Catholic Faith." But - THIS book, The Bible for Little Ones, includes VERY short stories from both Old and New Testaments, which are appropriate for any Christian family. These have a picture on every page with just a brief description about things like God creating the world, Noah and his ark, Jesus being born - very simple, very beautiful, for the very young. Infancy through preschool age, maybe still a kindergartner would enjoy - I give it as a baby gift along with other things. I know this one is fine for any Christian family. The Maite Roche Christmas book also is fine for any Christian family. Of course, if you are Catholic - they would all be very appropriate and enjoyable.

All the books by this French author are beautiful. The simple text is perfect -- the illustrations are wonderful. The best Bible book for little ones by far.
